- IRAcarbombs, on 12/02/2008, -23/+268I swear if Time Warner buys Digg ill F&%$in shoot myself
- Archaic1, on 12/02/2008, -2/+235Digg really means that much to you?
- frogman54, on 12/02/2008, -4/+159We could all pool our money together and buy digg. We'll each get to own digg on certain days. On my day, the front page will be nothing but kittens. I will invent.........."The Kitten Algorithm."
- DigSomeMore, on 12/02/2008, -4/+102No need to sell right now anyways with valuations among all sectors coming in on the low end...
- bjorna, on 12/02/2008, -1/+94you told me it was hunter2!
- 1longtime, on 12/02/2008, -3/+95Kevin who?
- benologist, on 12/02/2008, -0/+86Sold. Password is poobunnies47
- Dralite, on 12/02/2008, -2/+61How come you never hear about anyone wanting to buy 4chan?
and to a degree, i mean that seriously, knowing the foolishness of my question - GOVATENT, on 12/02/2008, -3/+61You think your not.
- D3ADBOLT, on 12/02/2008, -4/+61OK, $25
- wacked, on 12/02/2008, -1/+55I'm for sale, but I'm not a good investment at the moment.
- OBKenobi, on 12/02/2008, -9/+62I thought that Google one was going to happen. That would have sucked. You can't buy Digg.
- Archaic1, on 12/02/2008, -0/+46I bet it would if such a high percent of it's tech-savy users didn't use ad-blocking add-ons
- d2002, on 12/02/2008, -1/+46I wonder which clones they will acquire.
FTA:
Adelson says that Digg is now considering making its own acquisitions. Although Digg is not in discussions to close a deal, Adelson says he is looking for companies to acquire. "There are Digg clones around the world in every country," says Adelson. "I could go into those markets and clean up those sites. If I needed more capital to do a deal, I could probably do it." - joearchy, on 12/02/2008, -1/+45Anyone else try that password on his account? Be honest...
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -1/+43Yeah let's encourage this guy to commit suicide, because we all know his life revolves around a website.
=P
Note: I hate TW too. - orlyfactor, on 12/02/2008, -1/+42As is your comma with nothing after it...
- georgemason01, on 12/02/2008, -2/+43I think once Google actually looked at the content and saw what Digg has degenerated into over the last couple years they backed off.
- dystra, on 12/02/2008, -7/+47
It will be sold... - jayadelson, on 12/02/2008, -4/+43The article is about our drive for profitability... The business is doing well, we're just emphasizing our priorities in this market. Frankly, I'm more curious what folks thought of the rest of the article.
- 2ptyou, on 12/02/2008, -2/+40your line spacing is very dramatic,
- merreborn, on 12/02/2008, -1/+39You could, like, just leave digg.
It'd pretty much accomplish the same goal, but you'd be a little less dead. - WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -1/+38I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the vast majority of the people who care enough to install AdBlock wouldn't be clicking on the ads anyway.
- mrblogadise, on 12/02/2008, -37/+74Digg = following Pownce down the tubes if they can't make money somehow.
I can't imagine why anyone would want to buy it, it's gonna be a turd when the Angel investors wise up.
Digg survives on the Kevin Rose cult of personality, without Kevin, Digg is worthless. ( like Apple would be without Jobs) - valleyvideo, on 12/02/2008, -2/+37"Digg survives on the Kevin Rose cult of personality"
Wow. Couldn't disagree more. Do you really log onto Digg to check the latest Kevin Rose news?
What keeps me coming back is the news submitted by the community, the UI, and the comments and reactions to the items posted. - wolfeater2, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3425 grand for your account?
- bduddy, on 12/02/2008, -1/+34Who would want to own it?
- Zedian, on 12/02/2008, -1/+33I wouldn't buy you for a dollar.
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -1/+28*********
- sodade, on 12/02/2008, -2/+28The quality of the commenters on slashdot is about 10x that of digg, but I am frustrated when I go there (or to any other comment site) when I can't digg comments up or down.
- brainintraining, on 12/02/2008, -4/+29@bjorna
That shows up as ******* on my screen. - inactive, on 02/25/2009, -2/+26Joined in september 2007. don't know why i couldn't prevent myself from visiting this site almost thrice every couple of hours since then. the site has a lot to relate to many people's causes, sufferings, happiness and sadness. the power of 'digging' is divine and unbeatable. would feel sad to see it get sold/closed
- shekki, on 12/02/2008, -0/+23except for the fire extinguisher !
- sosolid2k, on 12/02/2008, -1/+231. Make Digg
2. ?????? - black27696, on 12/02/2008, -0/+22Along that line, do you wonder if the kid from hunter2 fame is out there somewhere, constantly waking up and feeling retarded because of that? Is he with us now, reading comments and seeing that meme pop up, knowing that it's making fun of his stupidity. Does he walk the streets feeling cold and alone in the knowledge that he's such an interwebz noob?
Because that would be hilarious. - mediaspree, on 12/02/2008, -1/+22There is a fair, unbiased submission process?
- ToastPop, on 04/17/2009, -1/+22Reddit :)
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -0/+20Digg is way more mainstream (unfortunately at this point)
What?? Digg wants to be mainstream and /b/ wants to go back to being an unknown source of often sadistic joy. - boomchockalocka, on 12/02/2008, -1/+21Really? Where do you get your spending money?
;) - chikuten, on 12/02/2008, -4/+24Who the hell would want to buy Digg? It's a community of ***** where the same guys plug the same useless news and LOLCATS over and over again.
- mediaspree, on 12/02/2008, -0/+20I consider myself pretty Internet savvy (on pretty much all day, every day) and heard about 4chan through digg, not the other way around. Even though I've come to realize 4chan is older and surely has monster traffic, digg is way more mainstream (unfortunatly at this point) but that gives it its value.
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -1/+20How about a grilled-cheese sandwich and a fruit box for digg?
I'm generous I know - abajaj2280, on 12/02/2008, -0/+19i tried benologist's password. it didnt work :(
- Phoros, on 12/02/2008, -2/+21and so your dot dot dot!
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -0/+17its not for sale because nobody bought it when it was shopped around for two years.
- jamble, on 12/02/2008, -0/+17The article doesn't really talk much about how Digg can possibly achieve profitability.
- Edger, on 12/02/2008, -1/+17let's not undersell that exclamation point
- mediaspree, on 12/02/2008, -0/+16Endless free entertainment you otherwise would not have seen.
- ultrafez, on 12/02/2008, -1/+16If this was 4chan, then people would actually do that.

What is Digg?
