- dburka, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16All of the finalists are available at http://digg.com/contest for your voting pleasure.
- alsp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I really like DiggCharts, its the type of progression data I'm constantly interested in.
Also, I have created my own visualisation to show diggs in real-time on a map (didn't have time to enter it, plus I'm not in the USA...). Check it out here: http://www.bittrees.com/diggmap
Alan - Roger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9In the event of a tie, I get all the prizes.
- underthewether, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11half of the apps use Apollo; great more proprietary crap I have to load on my machine
- kingkilr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8And if the judges are tied(there are an even number of you)? :P
- dburka, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Ah, that's precisely why lawyers get involved with their fun little rules. See the rules at the bottom of the contest page in Section 5: "In the event of a tie, the contest Judges will choose the winner."
- grendelboogie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5beer chugging contest?
- kingkilr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5What happens in the event of a tie?
- Roger, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5They're all cool, but most aren't that practical (like the wheel one).
- kaelyiesta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Tell him to keep at it. Don't worry about winning this contest. If it's good, in the end it will win in the way that matters most (people will like and use it)
- HarryManback, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3"And if the judges are tied(there are an even number of you)? :P"
Then it's a fight to the death. - op12, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3These are hitting the frontpage like regular stories, does that mean a finalist could potentially get buried? :)
- mattmcm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2That's actually very cool. I'd vote for that. Well done :)
- se7en11, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I just skipped right over those finalists. I'm sure people said the same thing about Flash though when it first came out. :-)
- DiggFight, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yours is a better concept than any of the finalists, hands down. If it was finished (and you were in the USA) it would have won.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Digg Charts... I see a story I wanna read - I have it's ID, submitter, a load of figures, but no link :(
- xShad0w, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2None of them are very practical, my friend was creating diggCity but on a much larger and 3d scale in flash - upsides dont have to get apollo, and i think it wouldve won if he had had time , finals...but was this a creativity or practicality contest cause i dont see very much of either.
- estacado, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm not eligible for the contest, but here's my app anyway:

or no-limit-engineering.com
RJ - memoBug, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Whoever comes up with an API to filter the word CONTEST from my Digg results, wins my vote!
Seriously, Is there a way to filter out these dig contest things? I went to my user panel and deselected Technology -> Design and that grabbed a bunch, but people aren't consistent about the topics they choose for them.
I have nothing against the contests, I just personally don't care to see behind the curtain today. - decepticrat, on 10/11/2007, -7/+5So far, I like the 'wheel of upcoming' the best.
- Anarchyx2, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1Dburka, go vote on them but STOP making new posts about a bunch of them!!
- szembek, on 10/11/2007, -6/+15 posts by dburka on the front page? None of them interest me.
- cmost, on 10/11/2007, -6/+0While everyone should know that supply and demand dictates the gas prices, common sense will tell you there's blatant manipulation and price gouging going on at the same time. The big oil companies cannot claim that they're raising prices due to refinery problems, etc., when they also claim record profits and bonuses for their executive year after year. If their profits are so high then they should be able to afford to keep prices down, at least for awhile, even during times of "crisis." Buy gas-efficient, flexible fuel and hybrids folks. It's time to ditch the ginormous gas guzzlers.
