- juneof44, on 10/12/2007, -2/+29Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... And the easiest way to generate Google Ad revenue.
- samKreuzer, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21take a look at http://yigg.de
a german clone. - galisus, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19It weebles and wobbles but it never falls down..
- DWatch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13There is no original content here on Digg, it takes news from other sources too, the most famous example is Slashdot. Nearly every story on slashdot shows up here, maybe not on the front page, but it shows up here eventually. The same is true of slashdot, it gets its news from other sources as well, its a big circle of news article musical chairs. Crying about similar stories on wobble is just retarded.
- Vortech89, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11It's funny that Yigg.de copied Digg AND Mozilla's website at once.
- raisinbran, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Funny, because the Wobblog story on Digg is on the front page of Wobblog, via Digg... infinite loop!
- Chakz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I wonder if it will get the Wobble effect. lmao.
- Dog_Paddle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8It's funny how they all fail miserably.
- weiran, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Actually, its http://www.shoutwire.com/
- tekmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"YiGG.de ist ein deutchsprachiger Klon von digg.com"
YiGG.de is a german-language clone of digg.com
http://yigg.de/about.php
heh. - mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4guys.. there are TONS of digg clones, there are new ones everyday.. kevin has said it doesnt really bother him
- TheAttacks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Why does everyone get up in arms about digg-like sites? Digg was the first (I think), but just because a site starts posting news, you don't see people at CNN.com flaming it or going "oh my god, COPIERS!" -no digg
- ChrisJ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4*Ahem* there's a lot worse going on in the world than a site/company using similar ideas to another.
But no, you're right. CNN should kill themselves, for nicking the BBC's idea. And then The Telegraph should kill themselves for stealing the Guardian's idea of printed news. Then The Guardian should kill themselves for using paper as a means of communication, because of book publishers... yada yada yada - silentex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3And, it seems as though they hit their bandwidth limit. Goodnight.
- lavawalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Doesn't everyone remember what happened the last time there was a digg clone and everyone went into attack mode?

Dugg FTW! - MrScoopFlash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2In my opinion, www.meneame.net is a poor script to base a Digg clone off of, it doesn't have search engine friendly URL's, you can vote for a story without logging in, and the list goes on.
- catoutfit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2ha look at their front page story.
"Here is a clone of Wobblog. It looks exactly the same except for the color scheme, and instead of 'wobble it', its 'digg it'." - Miniman, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8Lets see if the Digg Effect can take it down...
LOL - alevel27mage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This article is stupid. Digg clones have been around for 3 months or more. Some Spain- or Mexico-based group remade Digg's code. There have been tons of these. THIS IS NOT NEWS.
- HiddenS3crets, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4it looks terrible...
- desimaniac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2digg effect distroyed the wobble, before the wobble effect destroyed digg..heh
- GrandMaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that site replaces the text 'digg' with 'wobble' and the text 'wobble' with 'digg'... look at this story on that site, its exactly backwards.
- hadem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There are a bunch of Digg rip offs.
http://www.shoutwire.com
http://www.livelocker.com
http://www.blogreporter.biz
It is sad, but in the end, we all know that the people who created these ripoffs are just a bunch of lame web designers who can't really make anything for themselves. - bakagaigin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't think they're trying to take credit for it, I think they're fully aware of how silly they look.
- QuikSilvr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Account Suspended while in mid-viewing.
- NiLeS, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3is that "bar b que" at the end?!?
- bakagaigin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2LOL, the very first story on the wobblog front page says:
"Here is a clone of Wobblog. It looks exactly the same except for the color scheme, and instead of 'wobble it', its 'digg it'." - dvdd127, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2although it is an almost exact clone... i like their layout
- gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the site just got Diggwobbled?
- sewalsh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A rather nice reason why jigg.com isn't digg.com from those german dudes which I think puts the story to bed.
If digg.com was so scared of losing out on foreign markets (which they're probably hinting at with their European trademark (we all don't speak english here)), they should implement a few foreign language sub-domains of this site. It would make sense especially in integrating non-native english speakers to very popular english language sites. - tdog75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2At least they admit they are "influenced" by Digg
http://www.wobblog.com/faq-en.php - JubbaG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't see why people get so worked up about Digg clones. You know why Firefox is so much better than IE? Because Microsoft made a bad product and Mozilla succeeded where Microsoft failed. Digg is so much better than these other sites because it succeeds where they fail.
- ihybridora, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i was kevin i would,
taking a concept a person made and seeing in copyed all over the internet.
i would be very mad about it. It's like...those copycats of those products that engadget sometimes shows. - Dezrik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1db removed :O!!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1haha.. Digg has eaten wobblog....
- ihybridora, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it's slow...and yeah i think the digg effect killed it.
- reversial, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My favorite bad ripoff is http://stockdigg.com. They couldn't even be bothered to think up their own name ;).
- thewebguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1maybe someone should digg this site every day until they give up
- pianoman55, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it's digg... for spanish people!
- steveo2112, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1BBQ is added at the end for urgency:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=BBQ - steven509, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the irony of it the top story on it is "Top 10 Digg Clones" lol
edit: dam it u beat me to it - friol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Could it be a parallel web-iverse?
(oh, btw, I think digg is going to repeat itself, again, and again, and again, and....
http://digg.com/links/List_Of_Digg_Clones_ ) - microlog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1only cause the web page is bad coded/designed it doesn't mean that the guys behind it had a great idéa. I know that isn't the case in this matter but it's worth a thought before complaining.
- ihybridora, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1did you mean that someone should digg this site on digg.
or wobble digg everyday, so that there is always a digg story on there. - Daniel591992, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The digg effect killed it :D
- ihybridora, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1good point. you should tell that kevin.
- zenghost, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1we can definitely expect to see more of these digg clones like this one and shoutwire...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Another one? lol!
