- inactive, on 10/19/2007, -2/+49Delicious is very functional, either layout is fine by me.
- zeroMPHfallover, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26I think it looks awesome ...but then again I didn't mind the old layout either. Either way, better than this half-loaded digg.
- dakilla91, on 10/19/2007, -4/+22Lets go to del.icio.us and submit an article about digg getting a better comment system, and a picture section!
- euro22, on 12/17/2008, -0/+16Much easier on the eyes, imo.
- bejayel, on 10/19/2007, -0/+12Maybe a login system that actually keeps you logged in would be nice to...Maybe its just me that experiences that problem i guess seeing as hownobody else complains
- DannySpace, on 10/19/2007, -2/+13Too bad people still don't usa Spell Check.
- Emesis, on 10/19/2007, -4/+15Wow, pics so small you can't tell WTF they even are! Great post!
- Firehed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Because delicious is actually useful as a bookmarking tool, whereas digg is good for sharing stuff with others and trying to profit off blogspam. Despite both falling vaguely under the "social bookmarking" umbrella, they're really two totally different things.
- derkles, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Wow, it looks the same but different. I hope they improve their servers despite all the Web 2 Oh-ness. Have you tried searching their site recently?
Oh, and quit quoting Dane Cook, he's a douche and a tool. - tshawkins, on 10/19/2007, -0/+9I have been experiencing the same problem, but its random, somedays it just forgets im logged in on evry request, other days its fine.
- Spikeli27, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9dane cook is not funny
- rootstyle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8*woosh*
- L4WL3RS34L, on 10/19/2007, -4/+11It looks delicious.
- resplence, on 10/19/2007, -0/+5Not hard at all.
- N3wtR0ckn13, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5looks like facebook...a little. squint.
- pastasauce, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Now, come on, if you don't have enough invites for everyone, then don't bring them at all.
- dreamyshade, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3The official blog post ( http://blog.del.icio.us/blog/2007/09/taste-test.html ) has more details, including a way to add yourself to the list of people interested in invites, and that there's a new (and faster) search engine.
- ChrisAlbon, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6I don't care that much about the layout, but thank god I don't have to remember that stupid icio.us domain name anymore.
- drakenlot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3No, I haven't.
- Shorties, on 10/19/2007, -0/+2I had that problem in IE, when I got my mac and used safari the problem stopped occurring.
- psilanthropist, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2and ever since diggv3 and the new comment system, i get unresponsive script errors way too often
- MrViklund, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Good! Looks very nice.
And to be honest. The site with the name you can't say or spell have been totally useless because of it's pre 1990 website design since it started. I have tried it a few times because it seems to be very useful but it's uglier then Myspace and impossible to understand and to use. I hope that this new design finally makes the site useful. Right now it's just a piece of junk. And then I'm nice when I'm saying that. - bjtitus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Delicious is not Digg competition.
- Bartboy919, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5ANI ITSA USA. DONT YOUA KNOWS ME? ME SA JAR JAR BINKS
- cyberbofh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2thank you!
- Firehed, on 10/19/2007, -1/+3The current del.icio.us is going for minimalist but does it badly. The new version looks to pull it off quite well. I think that digg (and engadget for that matter, though I very rarely go there) is quite ugly, like some sort of gross cross between Web2.0 and minimalist.
- Brutal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Looks great.
- vemerge, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2As long as it doesn't lose any of the ease-of-use or functionality of the current layout, I could care less how it looks. Delicious is one of the most integral parts of my day-to-day browsing.
- oblongmouth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1As long as they keep the firefox extension fundamentally the same I will be happy
- bizchris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That's been true for a long time (I think at least a year).
- Reishka, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I like the new interface. It seems just as intuitive as the interface that they have now (although I will admit it needs some tweaking.. there's some parts of it that I just don't use and I'd love the chance to actually disable what I don't need).
Thing is, though... I'm going to miss del.icio.us. That was one of the main reasons that I actually remembered the domain - it was unique. delicious.com? That's going to make me think of food every time I type that in. I don't want to be reminded of food. - buglord, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Does anybody know of an open source del.icio.us "clone" to use on your own webserver?
I was using scuttle, but development has stalled and it doesn't make a very finished impression. - waiehu92, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Keep it fugly and functional...like craigslist
- libertao, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Please let them improve the search speed!
- bizchris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1But seems like they got rid of the ability to see your notes per entry? Only the article title and tags...
- stelriah, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2facebook meets flickr
- infiNex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah and they just broke their firefox bookmarks add-on. Maybe they should fix that first.
- drakenlot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Not a food fetish guy, huh?
- bizchris, on 10/19/2007, -1/+2And as IsmaelZ's comment below indicates, don't forget about a system wherein people aren't constantly replying at the wrong level by mistake...
- psilanthropist, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1really ? you seriosuly want to lick 500 pages of css and ajax and html ?
must be one hell of a licker - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This might make me use Delicious again.
- dtrinh, on 10/19/2007, -2/+2Very, very clean design. It keeps the spirit and simplicity of the old Del.icio.us design and takes it to the next level. Respect!
- bizchris, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1So what's the best strategy for scoring an invite?
- br0ck, on 10/19/2007, -1/+1Make sure you're logging into and using only digg.com , not www.digg.com . I had that problem for months before I realized that that was the problem.
- michels24, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0The new network functionality is a solid improvement- i'll use it much more now for distributing bookmarks to friends and work networks. Search is amazingly better. Way to go.
- randal2k, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1This interface looks like DIIGO.com
- hiPpymIck, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1FTA
"If you are invited, all of your existing bookmarks are imported to the preview, although any changes you make will be lost when the new service launches - so it’s just for trying out and giving feedback." - Sharon83, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Much better!
