Please stop loading graphics on to your site where a CSS setting will accomplish the same thing. Even with my highspeed connection this use of graphics is slowing things down. - gulpy, on 10/11/2007, -46/+817Dear Digg,

I would like a "Kevn Rose" category added so I can filter it out
Thanks - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -32/+754Dear Digg,
Please be tab-browsing friendly. When I open 4 tabs of digg stories, and need to log in so I can digg up/down some comment, after the log in screen it dumps me into the most recently opened tab, not the tab I started from. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -40/+752Dear Digg,

StrangeWill - lemieuxster, on 10/11/2007, -18/+590Dear Digg,
I am Mr.Emory Barr, Accounts Manager, of Abbey National PLC
Bromley Rd Branch. I have an important business proposition for you.
On December 12th, 2001, a German contractor with the British Pertroleum co-orporation, United Kingdom ,Mr. Olaf Partetzke made a numbered time (Fixed) Deposit for twelve calendar months, valued at US$ 17,350,000.00 (Seventeen Million Three Hundred Hundred and fifty Thousand Dollars only) in my branch.
Upon maturity,I sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but got no reply. After a month, we sent a reminder and finally we discovered from his contract employers, the British Pertroleum co-orporation that Mr.Olaf Partetzke died from an Automobile accident further investigation,
I found out that he died without making a WILL,and all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless.
I therefore made further investigation and discovered that Mr. Olaf Partetzke did not declare any kin or relations in
all his official documents, including his Bank Deposit paperwork in my Bank. This sum of US$ 17,350,000.00 is still sitting in my Bank and the interest is being rolled over with the principal sum at the end of each year. No one will ever come forward to claim it. According to inheritance Laws of the United Kingdom, at the expiration of 5 (five) years, the money will revert to the ownership of the Local Government Authorities here in Wales, United Kingdom, if nobody applies to claim the fund.
Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you to stand in as the next of kin to Mr. Olaf Partetzke
so that the fruits of this old man's labor will not get into the hands of some corrupt government officials. This is simple, I will like you to provide immediately your full names and address so that the attorney will prepare the necessary documents and affidavits that will put you in place as the next of kin. We shall employ the services of an attorney for drafting and notarization of the WILL and to obtain the necessary documents and letter of probate/administration in your favor for the transfer. The money will be paid into your account for us to share in the ratio of 60% for me and 35% for you and 5% for Expenses Incurred in the course of the transaction .
There is no risk at all as all the paperwork for this transaction will be done by the attorney and with my position as the Manager with my bank will guarantees the successful execution of this transaction. If you are interested, please reply immediately to my private email
box : emory400@xasamail.com
Upon your response, I shall then provide you with more details and relevant documents that will help you understand the transaction. You should observe utmost confidentiality, and rest assured that this transaction would be most profitable for both of us because I shall require your assistance to invest my share in your country.
Awaiting your urgent reply.
Thanks and regards.

Why does this post link to google? - Thargok, on 10/14/2007, -7/+170Dear Digg,
Please add a smite button in addition to a bury button. In a joint venture with Google Earth you can track down the originator of a given comment and have him beaten to a pulp.
Thanks - bilangew, on 10/11/2007, -14/+173Dear Digg,
Here's my Christmas wishlist:
- A slashdot-style of moderation would be nice, like somebody else mentioned. But PLEASE, make it so theres more than 3 or 4 words we can choose from (more than funny and informative and troll). And no, i'm not thinking about siteops and others longtime users who can moderate, its no good.
- How about a thumbs up AND thumbs down points for stories? And (optional) in the story comments, users who dugg down the story would be seen with a redish font color, whereas users who dugg it up would be greenish, etc.
- Multi-level threads in comments would be nice, but not quite necessary.
- Uh... I wan an iPod?
Thanks. I promise I will not sue you if you use my idea.
Peace;
Bilange (just drop the w, m'kay?) - gamebittk, on 10/11/2007, -42/+199Dear Digg,

Please place the top 10 videos on the main page too, so there is less incentive to put videos in news just to make the front page.
You can do that with the photo section as well when it comes up. - iPointe, on 10/14/2007, -8/+153Cool! I've just be trying it out that google.com and it seems to be pretty good.

P.S. Please don't make me change the locks again. - SlvrEagle23, on 10/11/2007, -4/+128Dear Digg,
Please be like the perfect social networking site we want you to be. When I say that, what I really mean is:
- Please *use nested comments* with the story as the root, so we can reply to each other and make pretty pyramids!
- Please *let us delete our own posts*! In a 200-comment story, if all the posters who realized they said something repetitive or replied to the wrong comment could delete their own posts, the load time on this page would skyrocket!
- Please *give us a little more time to edit our posts*, and a fair warning for when the editing is about to end. Once we click to make changes, we have to guess how long we have left before the JS kicks us back out to our original comment again. A lot of great things go unsaid because of this.
- Please *don't censor us again*...even an online revolt is a little hard on my back.
- Please *understand that Web2.0 means user-friendliness, not gradient backgrounds on every post*. Yes, it's pretty, but a lot of us have some incredibly beefy processors and still can't load comment pages worth a damn.
- Please *cooperate with a caching system*. As the original letter mentioned, Coral Cache works, but really anything. If an AACS decryption key doesn't scare you any more, the fear of being sued for caching data shouldn't either.
But perhaps most importantly...
- Please *stop screwing with this place* once all the above changes are made! Pretty improvements are one thing, but changing for the sake of change is flat out ridiculous, and web developers everywhere should cut that ***** out. Don't give us the impression that you're losing the pulse of the community by pulling a Facebook. Just because you're both blue doesn't mean you have to cave in to ridiculous managerial decisions as well. - kidd3ckz, on 10/11/2007, -4/+113Dear Mom,
Happy Mother's Day.
- Digg - OutOfMyBase16, on 10/11/2007, -5/+113yea seriously, it's probably the worst search i've ever used. if you type multiple words, it brings back as matches, articles that have only a single word, too. even on title searches. 80% of the results are irrelavent if you don't tinker with all the settings.

Please allow us to filter out comments based on the poster's age. The two or three of us over 14 years old would appreciate the decreased noise level.

Today it's all about mentioning "Kevin Rose" and "Apple" to get 150+ diggs or misspelling "apparently" to get dugg down to -152.
What the hell happened to the Digg I once loved? Now Digg is overrun by the all the 13 year olds like 'ayeroxor' who think they're cool and know how to spell. Congratulations ayeroxor for your mastery of grammar...
@mezoko
Thanks for pointing that out, who would have thought that I could have made a mistake typing that fast... That means.... that I need to type slower to be taken seriously on Digg nowdays? Hmmmmm - offwithyourtv, on 10/11/2007, -5/+58Digg dating? There are only like ten girls on Digg, and half of us are taken. I'm not sure how successful that would be with the single girls when they'd have to search through thousands of posts saying "I'm seventeen, have no job, and play WoW all day. I'm sure I have no STDs since I have never had sex before, but I've read enough articles on Digg about how girls supposedly think and what they supposedly like that I can surely make you happy. I hope you have big *****."
But I agree on the pictures section. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+58Dear Digg,

Could you please implement a search option that includes a combination of "Most Diggs" and "Most Relevant"? - schroeder, on 10/20/2007, -4/+53Dear Digg,
Please make a sidebar list of related stories and their current diggs so it's easier to find dupes and we can read the original submission. I think this could help reduce the number of duplicate stories. I mean, there's a lot of space over there... - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+49Dear Digg,
More women please. - AhrenBa, on 10/11/2007, -5/+52(please forgive me if this has been posted already)
Dear Digg,
The comment system for highly dugg articles is quite annoying. When an article begins to get over 100 comments, it takes a VERY long time for the page to load, even on a high speed connection. Is there some other way to go about doing this? Thank you
