- jeff94, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Another thing, sorry-
Sports don't require the same thing digg does.
News with sports goes everywhere the minute it gets out. The deals and underground news on digg is what makes it digg. Sports doesn't need this. - jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If accountability is a problem (not for me), consider a trash pile. A place people can go, intentionally for the purpose of seeing removed stories.
- jeff94, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I love how quickly digg updates, and I'm not sure about what he said regarding adding other news like sports. I like seeing the topics digg currently has on the home page, and then go to other sites for news on sports, etc.
- G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It would be nice to see Digg as a brand network, have like sports.digg.com, a specialized version of Digg for sports. A feature I think would be nice is, you cant delete an article if it has so many digs.
- jefflundberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dan makes a lot of good points about Digg. However, as more people discover digg, I think the stories that make it to the front page will have more merit & value. Is it just me or is anyone else disappointed when they've already read a story before it appears on Slashdot?
- G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Slashdot is slacking...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0digg is a great site, no doubt about it, is not the slashdot totalitarianism and has the dynamic of a forum without the "I know it all" moderator present. Sport on digg?, really, sports has become just an excuse to go out and socialize (which is not bad at al), with all the scandals and players doing it just for the money and not for the passion, almost all sports have lost their appeal IMHO. Hockey he said?, Who cares about hockey?. Any who, I take the chance to send my kudos tho the digg team for their awesome job.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0who the hell is dan huard and why did 2 of his things get dugg
- Jammerdelray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0SLashdot needs to have more content...thats why I use digg...just so happens digg is the best thing out there for the latest heads up of whats going on...digg rocks
- evilpig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dont really understand digg?
- Namtaru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0josie: try not to be such a hypocrit. you insult chriskzoo (which is rather childish) rather than actually address what he said. if you READ what he wrote, no where did he say 'dan's article is nothing but complaints about being let go'. what he said was his release is MANIFESTING itself in his articles through bitterness.
- josie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1chriskzoo...what are you talking about...at what point through his column does he write about any bitterness about G4? He made statements toward TechTV/G4 but they were neutral. call him what you want, but get your facts straight. its amazing how much gall children like yourself possess with anonymity as your shield. be an adult and comment like one.
- G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, it's also amazing how the other Scope Tech Story totally got owned. lol. Normally when a story gets deleted, there is evidence of it. but its gone forever now!
- joeman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Where on earth are you pulling these comments from? Sucking up attention? Foremost, it doesn't matter how constructive your criticism is when you call someone a douche, your motives are clear. Digg suffers from the same G4 message board mentality. Children post blatant unsubstantiated flames JUST TO POST blatant unsubstantiated flames. If you or anyone else truly believes that chriskzoo's comment was remotely constructive then, please, allow me to present you with this year's Darwin award. Secondmost, "trying to suck up attention?" Beyond trying to get the word out that his new site is launching, what could you possibly be talking about? Please make yourself more clear.
- manoj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have to disagree at 10:21 on Mar. 1, 2005
I don't think digg should include sports, there is ample coverage of sports elsewhere. I like digg the way it is. I would hate for it transform and attempt to become all things to all people. It is the niche tech topics that make it special, and I have been very happy with the content quality.
Manoj Rajan - marymaier, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0(Goat - Dan used to work for G4/TechTV/The Screen Savers. http://danhuard.typepad.com/) I love digg, it's my new favorite news site. I could never really get into slashdot. I wouldn't really like to see sports on digg unless it had it's own, contained, subdomain. Digg is mostly tech, and I think it should stay like that.
- josie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There was no insult. Regardless, his site has nothing to with TechTV or G4. Look at his site, find me ONE thing that denotes bitterness to his old job. His statement held no value other than to identify someone as a douche. All I'm saying is to be a responsible poster. Calling someone names without ANY reason is just weak.
- G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Goat: 2 things were dugg because it was regarding two different things. One was showing his site (but got reported... :() and then this is showing his article.
- Blaze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0whats wrong with a little constructive criticism but still Dan i think is trying to suck up attention
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0At least he doesn't spam us with thebroken links.
- G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Your a douchebag IMO.
- soleblazer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0WTF? Is it just me or does Huard seem to reach and stretch out every single thing he writes? He is starting to become a douchebag IMO.
- chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I agree on Dan "the Douche." While he sometimes seems to have relevant points, it seems his bitterness of being released from G4 is manifesting itself.

What is Digg?
