- canewediggit, on 10/16/2007, -38/+325thank you. requests for a pic section (which i will happily never use) are as annoying as ron paul. one down, one to go.
- kevinrose, on 10/13/2007, -11/+201From the blog post "The development team is hard at work on multiple concurrent projects" AOL keyword: concurrent
- thenativeraver, on 10/10/2007, -8/+121Good, now I can check out the news and block the images.
Now give us a way to block keywords and we would be all set! - titlesaysitall, on 10/10/2007, -7/+116Dear Kevin Rose,
You may not see this comment but I would like to chime in on a feature that would greatly benefit the Digg community. I would like all submitters who use title says it all to be stabbed in the face from their computers.
Thank you. - quomen, on 10/10/2007, -4/+111aol keyword: concurrent

I hope the partnership works out between you two! - synthox, on 10/10/2007, -11/+113It worked for me on prom night
- NyteStarNyne, on 10/10/2007, -4/+94Will there be a NSFW section on the Images page? ;)
- Paktu, on 10/10/2007, -4/+75Fixing the comment section is long overdue, but it's good they're finally addressing the problem.
- ub3rgeek, on 10/10/2007, -6/+76I've got a question for you synthox. Did it work for you on prom night?
- canewediggit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+59oh c'mon, kev, just say it "rtfa!"
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+58"We know you’re eagerly awaiting a dedicated images section. In terms of navigation and back-end code, the home page update helps pave the way for images - which we’re excited to roll out in the October timeframe."
Thank you. - mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -16/+64lets continue to be annoying until it actually comes.
- webcrunch, on 10/10/2007, -3/+47This thing hit the front page with only 16 diggs. Well, WTF, it deserves it, but conspiracy theorists are going to have a busy day :-)
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+43Or have an iPhone section so I can ignore that as well.
- kingkilr, on 10/10/2007, -3/+36I don't get what the delay on comments is, its not like there is a backend problem, its the god damn javascript, remove it and we will be fine.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+32I don't think you fully understand how digg's system works. This thing had over 20 diggs in under 10 minutes. It's the velocity of diggs that matter.
- kennywinker, on 10/10/2007, -9/+38this website needs more drugs and loose women
- lordtyros, on 10/10/2007, -14/+43Y'all need to focus. I'd rather have comments fixed tomorrow than a bunch of features in a couple months.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -2/+27Don't you mean Google keyword? traitor.
- montiff, on 10/10/2007, -3/+28It won't matter, people will still post pictures in the regular news section, just like the diggers who ignore the video section.
- techmonkey4u, on 10/10/2007, -5/+27Not hard at all if you ignore trivial stuff like .. design, usability, security, and testing to name a few.
- michaelnew20, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23That's great! Looking forward to being able to digg pics. Thanks Kevin.
- GliTCH82, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Kevin got served? Huh? Quomen just proved he's on AOL.
- Puppetfunk, on 10/10/2007, -6/+26OH SNAP! Kevin Got Served!
- a3r0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19Don't forget the "1997 email forwards from grandma" section
- 13thKid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20just because there will be no reason to submit a link to the wrong section does not mean that people still won't do it.
- unfinite, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20That's pretty cool and all. But this is going to get way too many diggs.
- theOster, on 10/10/2007, -9/+26i'm going to spam an idea here and whether i get dugg or buried i will accordingly push it further or shut my trap. (bear with me)
a section of Digg that allows users to post content (I'm thinking pics (camera phone or other), snippets of text, etc) to a map.
a single post would be a little point on the map, but if another person added something to the same area, then the dot would grow (think Flickr's geo-tagging).
soon, if an event becomes "popular enough", the dot becomes large and highly visible (similarly, the 2 for 1 sale at Spatula City would probably go unnoticed)
the catch would be that a time-stamp is placed on every and submittal and after 24 hours, that particular post is deleted. the user could update their content any time within the 24 hours.
in essence, you'd have a 24hr window on the world.
EXAMPLE:
a few weeks ago, an explosion occurred in midtown manhattan. i'm sure people that were there could have snapped a pic and posted it and within minutes and the location would have become apparent very quickly (as well as notifying others of what had happened). - sockpuppets, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19Unfortunately I think I'm just annoying in general. It gave me focus, though.
- rkettner, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18You are using the site for free... they can do whatever they want first.
- synaesthesia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17brb, developing, marketing and selling your idea to google for $3.2 billion
- ub3rgeek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15You think the comment system is slow now wait till they try to implement that.
- UtahApocalyse, on 10/10/2007, -4/+19Will everyone STFU about a pic section now??
- thesportoflife, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15"(think podcasting comments)."
yay, clicking next page 50 times just to read all the comments.
gonna be fun. - praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -0/+14Can digg velocity ever break the speed of light?!
- mikev, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15digg should drop the spell checker. most browsers have integrated ones, and i doubt those who don't use a browser with one (ie?) will care about their spelling anyways ;)
- abid786, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17RTFA. Since there will be a new "ALL" section, front-page-promoted pictures will show up on the main page. So there will be no need to submit in the wrong section.
- kidcodea, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16real diggers understand the concept of time also.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Rapid diggs mean quick front page. The algorithm is more complicated then you think.
- ,,|,_, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13I agree, also thank god it's going to be called Images and not Pics.
- bioskope, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13an app that will stab users in the face over the internets. Once we've got it developed the first place we should pitch it to should be youtube, because that place sure as hell needs it.
- sockpuppets, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Your mom getting tired already?
- KraigR, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12THANK YOU DIGG!!
- webcrunch, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13"Other cool stuff coming as well" - That's where I'd love you'd fill us in. Considering the feedback you've got regarding images and comments, that's somehow expected (though it's nice to hear it's coming soon).
- TastyLamp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I was thinking Myspace would benefit from it more.
- carguy84, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Digg needs a priority check...
- staticoranges, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Sometims i assidentilly pres chek speling insted of presing submitt coment. it relly agrivates me.
You know, typing something with a bunch of errors is a lot harder than it looks. - theholycow, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13i got norton
- Bob042, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10A good idea once there's a picture section would be the ability for users to specify more than the "wrong topic" bury. Something like "should be... pictures, videos, etc.."
- icyone, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10turn?
