With the enormous success of An Inconvenient Truth, is he going to be working on any other projects/documentaries in the foreseeable future? - trammell, on 11/03/2008, -4/+32You recently stated on Current, "it's wrong for the government to discriminate against people because of that person’s sexual orientation." There is a proposition on the California ballot to amend the Calif. constitution to abolish the right of same sex couples to marry. This proposition (and others of its kind) can alter or remove the rights of minorities and can pass with a simple majority.
Should constitutional amendments require a supermajority to pass? - shirov, on 11/03/2008, -8/+36Mr. Gore,
Ralph Nader has taken a lot of heat for your unbelievable loss back in 2000. Do you personally blame Ralph Nader for losing the 2000 presidential election? If not, what do you feel contributed to your defeat? Also, if you do not blame Ralph Nader for your loss, would you ever publicly announce this in order to vindicate him? - inactive, on 11/03/2008, -2/+25Or how about someone who isn't just a conservative pundit? How about Newt Gingrich?
- FishHammer, on 11/03/2008, -13/+35I wish I could digg this 20 times. Nobody would ever ask him a question like this.
- Solkre, on 11/03/2008, -20/+41It is expensive to run all that gear to find Manbearpig.

Pick any of them... I dare you to roll with Dennis Prager. Dare you. - rootnik, on 11/03/2008, -9/+23This is the only question that needs to be asked.

- trenchcoat, on 11/03/2008, -4/+14EXCELSIOR!!!
- shahruz84, on 12/17/2008, -7/+16You launched Current TV with an intent to create a social vote-based televsion channel. Do you see this form of media spreading to major news networks in the future? i.e. Will CNN will show live Twitter feeds during a debate, as opposed to "focus groups"?
- sideffects, on 11/04/2008, -0/+9He buys carbon offsets from his own company.
- billbugger, on 11/03/2008, -2/+10good question, but i remember him being asked a similar question and he said something to the tune of he felt he could get more done as a private citizen then as a politician, or something along those lines.
- markgl, on 11/03/2008, -4/+12why didn't you do anything about global warming for the eight years you were vice president? You had the power then, but did nothing to stop global warming?
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -1/+9Who is Ron Paul?
- atgmac, on 11/03/2008, -4/+12[this comment has been removed at the request of Al Gore]
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -15/+23Mr. Gore what more can i do for a bigger carbon footprint. Not everyone here can afford charter jets and limousines.
- nullcodes, on 11/03/2008, -2/+10Why is there such a lack of funding for basic biomedical research? Can you do a movie on the war on science and critical analysis/reasoning in general .. but leave out global warming from it because it will make it far too political.
Also, why are US domestic prisons a cesspool of abuse insterad of an environment conducive to rehabilitation of those who will eventually be released? Also, since the system is imperfect why is it OK with all prisoners being abused .. why aren't basic measures such as pervasive cameras and isolation being used? Since prisoners haven't a right to privacy anyway I think pervasive night sensitive cameras in all cells would prevent abuse and misbehavior. - form3hide, on 11/03/2008, -5/+12Gore -- why is your house not eco-friendly and green?
- Totz83, on 11/03/2008, -0/+7He's stockpiling cheese
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -7/+14With the advent of social websites like Digg becoming more and more popular, and the effect that the Internet has had on this year's election, what do you think the Internet will be like in ten years?
- seldon452, on 11/03/2008, -6/+13Okay, I'm gonna defend Al Gore, before you digg me down, just give me a shot.
It is my understanding that he offsets all his carbon dioxide output. If we all did this, there wouldn't be a problem regardless of how much energy we use. Even if I produce 32048523502358230 of carbon a day (I don't know the measurement) but if I offset it all, I'm more environmental then the guy who produces just one but doesn't offset it.
Also, this guy has to fly around, giving speeches. He may use a lot more then a normal person, but what Al Gore does is not normal. Compare him to other people who do what he does (travel around the country making speeches). I really don't know if he produces more or less then other people in the same line of work but that should be looked at before everyone crucifies him.
Also, I could argue, even if he doesn't practice what he preaches (which he does for the most part) by spreading the word about global warming he has done more then any person that keeps a mulch dump in their backyard. - zizzybaloobah, on 11/03/2008, -2/+9Mr. Gore,
#1 How do you answer arguments that you directly benefit from sounding the global warming alarm, because of your financial interests in carbon credit and related companies? Shouldn't you be disclosing these financial interests as a regular part of your speaking engagements or other environmental activism?
#2 How you do respond to critics who claim that carbon credits are nothing more than the selling of indulgences -- thereby creating a system that allows the wealthy to exempt themselves from regulations the rest of us will have to follow? - inactive, on 11/03/2008, -8/+15So basically he won American Idol.
That's a non-answer. - jkoby, on 11/03/2008, -0/+7"I'll be offering my vision when my campaign begins. And it will be comprehensive and sweeping. And I hope that it will be compelling enough to draw people toward it. I feel that it will be. But it will emerge from my dialogue with the American people. I've traveled to every part of this country during the last six years. During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system."
That's his exact wording from the interview with Wolf Blitzer, I don't see any inventing of internet in there.
Also, when Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn stood up for him, I would side with them then Wired Magazine.
Here's Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn's statement
"we don't think, as some people have argued, that Gore intended to claim he 'invented' the Internet. Moreover, there is no question in our minds that while serving as Senator, Gore's initiatives had a significant and beneficial effect on the still-evolving Internet." - mrsteveman1, on 11/03/2008, -4/+11Accomplishments in what way?
Some of the most respected presidents in the countries history only had a few achievements under their belt before running for president. - Motobike_man, on 11/03/2008, -4/+11How about an interview with Ron Paul?
- inactive, on 11/04/2008, -0/+6Yes. Ron Paul *is* conservative. There are very few conservatives in the GOP, which is why when you finally find one they aren't quite what you expected them to be.
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -40/+46Why would anyone want to talk to that carbon-credit SCAM ARTIST.
- pauldy, on 11/03/2008, -10/+16I would like to know if there are any plans to have diggtalks with anyone that isn't a leftist political figure. From Pelosi to Gore, is diggtalk really just a platform for advancing someones personal political agenda.
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -3/+9This is only the second Digg Dialogg. Can't jump the gun when there's barely anything to shoot at.
- stillasleep00, on 11/03/2008, -0/+6God yes. No pundits, left or right. Let's have some people who are actually influential, instead of O'Reilly and Olbermann just sniping at each other.
- thekefka, on 11/03/2008, -0/+6Fake chain letter is fake.
