Believe me: they all have some common patterns. if you do OK in Google, 99% you will do OK in Yahoo or Ask. These former Google guys have launched www.cuil.com as the search engine will challenge Google, I doubt it. Check it!!

On Cuil i did a search for "porn pussy" with out the quotes clicked on the first link and it was some Trojan installer trying to install itself on my pc Cuil needs to work on their engine if they want to have any chance competing with Google,Yahoo and Live search.

  • MikeKing1, on 08/01/2008, -0/+0I agree, I think this new search engine is absolutely terrible. Bad results, slow, invalid links, weird pictures, missing sites, etc. Not very useful at all.
  • inactive, on 07/29/2008, -0/+0I´ve done some more research. Performed following searches both in Google and Cuil:
    Search argument: google sucks 825,000 hits in Google and 20,055 hits in Cuil
    Search argument: cuil sucks 3,540 hits in Google and 2,996 hits in Cuil
    Of the 2,996 hits found in Cuil for the search argument "cuil sucks" only three of them are displayed and no one related to what we really were trying to find out: people giving their opinions on why cuil sucks for them.
    Guys: I think you need to go back to the labs an start using the $30mio funding that you´ve got to improve the search logics.
  • torod15, on 08/01/2008, -0/+0I tried searching for header and titles of pages of some popular websites and never got those site on the first page and sometimes even got 0 results. Most often the results return link spam pages or pages that try to infect your pc.
