www.johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvotingforhimanyway.com - Lightspeed2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0rather have that long domain than something stupid like thoof which copies the oo from google

- ngmcs8203, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Oh I doubt it will be too long before those start happening.
- jade2166, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1We check each and every new video that comes to the site. If it is unacceptable, we unpublish it. We will not have pornography on this site. Janet@realpeoplerealstuff.com

- MikeTheC, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Bring it on! It's such a pity there's so little porn in the Internet tubes.
- ngmcs8203, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Oh I doubt it will be too long before those start happening.
- joerod, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5I'd like to see this integrated into the services -> erotic
- TomPlansMedia, on 10/11/2007, -7/+4"What do you get when you cross online classified ads with web-based video?"
Facebook? - deeboe, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4This will be great when I am looking for erotic services on Craigslist and only a picture is shown. Now I get a sample of the action?
- spstrings1, on 10/11/2007, -3/+0it was done here - http://www.mybidlist.com/i=30
- XHashmeerX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah, but that doesnt really count, still using youtube and google video for the video, then they're just embedded in. It's not a site that easily facilitates video uploading from a file off your computer.
- spstrings1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0They are, it's coming, and use VideoEgg hosting
- MikeonTV, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Too bad eBay didn't do something like this. You could post a video of your bids
- vzaar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0eBay hasn't but using our new new site http://vzaar.com you can. We make it really easy for users to do this. We're in beta at the moment, but full launch coming soon.
- xeno439, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I think this is genius, but the domain is too long and not memorable. Did anyone know what to "google" was before Google. Someone will wash them out with better branding.
- spingk, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1To "google" was nothing before Google.
- xeno439, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3no *****, are you that obtuse?
- Protector, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Damn.
- spingk, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1To "google" was nothing before Google.
- XHashmeerX, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1This is one of those "Why the hell didn't I think of this moment."
It's a pretty obvious idea. Sometimes pictures just aren't enough.- thumperings, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I DID think of it 4 years ago. My dad said "you mean like craigslist?? I said NOO with video .. to sell crap locally pan a bunch of stuff at once or show all angles ...but i have no capital
- poohat1000, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1picli.com is another really good startup i'm really addicted too. The content on there has been getting better and better since they launched back in april, hopefully they hit a boom - flickr needs more legit competitors right now - might make them stop behaving all microsoft on everyone.
- GamerSDG, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1this is great but i bet craigslist will add a vid section and i hate the spam why do these ass hole have to link to a blog with the link on it
- Sheff, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I was expecting it to be called 'craigstube.com'
- BostonMa, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2That is an ingenious name! but the idea is too complex for most stuff on Craig's List. It works cause it's simple. I wont wade through videos for tickets, etc.
- stevene, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Blog spam. Try linking to the actual site.
- The_Wallbanger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hopefully the sellers show their creativity like this guy and his guitar for sale.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UwEyGPXo5E - Equistatic, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Holy astroturfing Batman!
- cutlerite, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4great. I already hate commercials, now there's a full website of amateur advertisements.
- alanjacobson1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0How can you hate this commercial?
http://realpeoplerealstuff.com/videoad/2007/05/07/montgomery-flea-market - smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2so you don't ever look at classifieds ads?
- alanjacobson1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0How can you hate this commercial?
- westcor, on 10/11/2007, -4/+0Sweet now cops can see pictures of the prostitutes!
- westcor, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Sweet now cops can see pictures of the prostitutes!
- stealthrocket, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I think this will become a breeding ground for cheesy "earn $10,000 a month in your spare time" ads.
- dgarallenpoe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I responded to one of those ads, and it turned out to be true, actually. There are an incredible number of suckers in the world. It's really amazing
- maskedm564, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I think its a pretty cool idea. As long as spammers don't ruin it.
- Perno, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I don't like it. I watch videos for entertainment, not to see what I'm buying. I think pictures do perfect justice to most items for sale.
PLUS if you're selling something, what would you rather do? Use a video camera, and go through editing and all that junk, or just take a picture or two and post those? If I could buy stock in this company, I would short it.- rechal2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0You don't really need to do any fancy editing, although it might be worth it if you're selling a big ticket item like a car or a house or a boat. But you're right -- the best video commercials would be entertaining -- just like the best TV commercials are.
- Protector, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Not new, just not launched, guess this beats me to launch.
That'll teach me to wait 2 1/2 years for the tech, market, and budget to catch up to the domain purchase and 3 years since the idea itself. I tell ya, if you have an idea, you better run with it the moment it pops into your head or you are up a creek without a paddle.
Damn! - TypeEE, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Sweat, I have always wanted videos for the erotic service listed in craigslist.com
- Light11, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2woah, you cant search? thats dumb
- alanjacobson1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Of course you can search!

- alanjacobson1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Of course you can search!
- infamousjre, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Good thing they made a completely new site instead of just adding video to craigslist...
because I don't think bots programmed to post fake ads know how to make a video. - martian, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2It's already full of ads for products, not "real people real stuff"
- ptsd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2has anyone watched some of these videos? holy *****.

- tracker5kx, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1No sir. I don't like it.
- soloride, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I have sold stuff with videos in the past. I just put a link to video on my craigslist ad that would go to the video that I posted on youtube. It really helped when I was selling my car. It would be nice if craigslist let you embed the video right in the ad.
- agentVivid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1these girls don't like balls > http://www.realpeoplerealstuff.com/videoad/2007/04/24/exercise-balls
- Royal0rleans, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2if eBay integrates video into their site, realpeoplerealstuff is done for instantly.
- vzaar, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Well hopefully our new new site http://vzaar.com will have the same effect. We make it really easy for users to do this. We're in beta at the moment, but full launch coming soon.

Ah, well. Maybe next time. - angle45media, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1cool idea if it goes viral...but what's to stop me from posting a youtube link in my ad?
- angle45media, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2can't you embed video into your ad already through craigslist?
- alanjacobson1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Nope. We checked in with Craig himself yesterday. He says he has no plans for video.
- Kidsturk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hang on, hang on, http://vzaar.com/ is coming.
- vzaar, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1We're live beta at the moment. Full launch by august.
- aluminumpork, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1hmm... neat idea, but I don't really see it going anywhere. A lot of people don't have video cameras or web cams, and many things just weren't meant to be sold through video.
- alanjacobson1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Most cell phones and digital cameras capture video. If your digital cameras can capture video, chances are it can record a video lasting at least 3 minutes – which is more than enough time to get your message across. In most cases, the length of the video is only limited by the amount of space available on your camera's memory card. If you want to increase the length of your video, considering getting a higher-capacity card.
- Electrox3d, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3just put a link on your craigslist ad to your youtube video. baddabing
- RyeBrye, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Finally! An alternative to Craigslist! I hope this one is cheaper!!!
Oh wait... Craiglist is free, fast, and efficient. Why the hell do I need this?- alanjacobson1, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0CraigsList doesn't support video, and Craig has no plans to add video support
- szembek, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Not a ***** tech deal!
