$59, plus shipping, if it's out of warrenty. If its still within warranty, Apple will fix it free.
I think that's a pretty good deal. - shar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I ordered 2 batteris from costco last week. One for a regular 20 Gig 4G IPOD & one for IPOD Mini.
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Digg this enough so we can hear Alex laud about Costco again.
- hawnboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Are these selling at the Costco warehouses too? I'm trying to avoid the S&H charges.
- Matrixsjd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I believe the 10-15-20 gig's were all around the same size, because the back of my iSkin says 10-15-20. Thanks for the help easyfrag, I might just look into this since I have the 15 gig :)
- Matrixsjd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it's because Alex mentioned Costco on Diggnation lol
- silverdragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow thats' a great price
- rhyno2000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey, where's the batteries for ye olde original G1 models? I got a dead 5 Gig here doing nothing but keeping my documents in order.
- wilf_brim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1IRT Above:
Please note that this is the deals section of Digg. That means that we talk about stuff and where to get it cheaply. That means that the poster has to tell us where they are. That isn't an advertisement. That is helping out your fellow diggers. - alexhhhh, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1Not available anymore?
- Timsher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone remember when it was cheaper to buy a new ipod than get the battery replaced?
And now you can do it for $20, that's what I call progress :) - Matrixsjd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1sweet 3rd gen too :) I just wish I knew what they were talking about where it says "compatible with iPod slim model only" ??

- Staggx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Better than having to buy a new iPod which is what many people have spread around. They said we'd have to return our iPod for a new one if the battery went. I guess I don't have to look forward to that now :D
- easyfrag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0matrixsjd, I believe "thin" refers to 15 Gig and less 3rd Gen iPods. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the 20 Gig and up models fatter than the smaller ones?
- Renee1979, on 05/21/2008, -0/+0They aren't selling them anymore.. You can find them for cheap at http://www.needbattery.com
- Pharoah6905, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0first of there are websites explaining how to change the batteries on you ipod, just google it.
Second, im not advertising for costco, as Wilf Brim kindly pointed out to others.
Finally, why whould you buy a battery from eshop.macsales.com when you could get it for the same price from a reliable resource like costco.
P.S. I was a costco fan before i ever found out about digg or diggnation - UberGeekGamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0rhyno2000, you could buy one of these

http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Item.cfm?ID=6943&Item=NWTIPOD8503 - subodhgupta, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0How to change it on your own but?
- spinxter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I just got mine from UPS today. The instructions included are WRONG and the tool included SHOULD NOT BE USED. They give you a metal screwdriver. After gouging my case a few times I went online looking for better instructions and I found a video that had a crucial first step that was not in the Costco instructions. Once I saw the video I did the entire thing in under 5 minutes using nothing but a guitar pick.
Videos are here:
http://tinyurl.com/6bmxs - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0i think the 10gb is the "slim" for the 3rd gen..im not sure if the 15gb is fatter though
- ozmodiar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Are there any website that explain how to change the batteries ?
- Books, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Bollocks to not allowing canadian members to sign up! And of course, the .ca site has no ipod batteries :(
- mike_p, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Better than going through apple I assume? How much are iPod batteries anyway (through Apple)?
- FlyingAvatar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Why is this unbelieveable?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0ha ha
- Eamon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Interesting how Digg.com has become a Costco advertisement.
- FRAGaLOT, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Cool... do the they sell nano bats?
