Jet's don't have props....
(Just making a joke, no need to get all upset.) - neofactor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Head over to: California Radio Control Jet Association http://www.crcja.org/
Or check out the many sites under:

Also, before you fly one of these, you have to have a field. Or access to one, and before that happens you go membership about 100 a year, need to subscribe to AMA for another 100 a year which gives you insurance coverage for up to 1M. Only if accident happened in accredited field.
I use to fly RC models, few years ago and wanted to share my little knowledge about that. Traded my airplanes for beatiful kids now, still very happy. Later I will get some once kids move on they are too young for now so, still have plenty in tank before I have to land or call 'dead stick' - dbug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2just needs air-to-ground missiles to make it the perfect christmas gift :)
- Meshyf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So tight. I don't care if its a dupe or old.
Dugg for wtfbbqawesome - Hydroxyethyl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Turbine RC has become pretty popular lately. I couldn't afford it but it's cool to watch. Here's a link to a video of one of the most expensive turbine RC crashes I've seen.
http://www.stukastudios.se/b52.htm - LooterMcBeer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Definately not a toy especially since you have to get a license to fly one legally but they are cool as hell
- plamoni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I am amazed they can fly it. Flying and landing a fighter jet is very hard, even for someone INSIDE the jet, I can't imagine how hard it would be to not crash into the ground while standing there with a remote...
- niqhil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1holy *****. .!!!
ok back to F22 Raptor game. .:( - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That was cool, this is cooler:

- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I saw this vid a couple years ago at D&J hobby in San Jose. Cool to see it again here. I'm still amazed that they could even land the goddam thing.
- ZerozenOnes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Us eto be that geeks would build crazy calculators and litle proto robots that could only go spasmic on the floor. Now that geeks are starting to thinker with jet engine, I predict a tough time ahead for the high school bully.
Tssshhiioooooo, tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-taaa - Boom ! ! !
( Sound of toy B-2 bomber going ballistic on school football field )
" Want My Lunch Money Now Punny Ball-Chassing-Earthlink! Mouahahahaaaa! !!!!!!!"
Hell Yeah, I digh that. - codyman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Landing a jet via remote control must be a bitch...
definately a digg though - xedeon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.centuryjet.com/webstore/category.cfm?Category=9
- MikeEFresh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm guessing it doesn't run on vegetable oil.
- CoffeeChaosFan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Old story but still wicked cool.
- LeFrenzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's not fake, it's real, but the other guy is right, it is indeed an old story.
I hope the DOD doesn't read Digg, because if they did, these guys would get arrested lol. Hamas would love one of these :o - Tezgno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well... time to start saving!!!
- dotnetwebdev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's pretty damn cool. Although it's a bit scary ... I wonder how long until terrorists get their hands on a few of those, layer 'em with c4, and let 'em rip...
:/ - plefno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Freaking awesome! I agree with what others have said; if you crash that thing, you're going to want to kill yourself.
- cypherz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WOW. Awesome landing! Totally got chills watching that video!
- jasdev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0is anyone else on dialup to be too pissed off to see the vid? man i miss my broadband. send me a download link yaw'll
- joker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How about landing it on a remote control "toy" aircraft carrier?
Now that would be cool... - verticalmule, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i remember seeing these on the discovery channel once the cost between 30 and 40 thousand dollars for parts and you have to put it together. don't think there's a company that makes these but the plans to make one are provably around if you google hard enough
- Wizard750201, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That toy isn't $2,500 to $10,000 it is probably closer to 20,000 to 25,000. I fly RC airplaines not turbines though, can't afford them. The turbines alone for that plane run about 5,000 each with all the internal controls and the safety equipment you need. A guy in our club has 3 turbine jets not as big as that one, but he shelled out $12,000 for his with only one turbine.
- glucoseboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0R/C Airwolf video.

Yes folks, flying R/C toys that look real have been around a long time. (digg article notwithstanding) - senzafine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I kept waiting for Tom Cruise to make an appearance!
digg++ - leobaby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Check out the flying lawnmower remote control 'airplane'....
http://gprime.net/video.php/flyinglawnmower - Vector713, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very sweet, kudos to the builders.
- ghettoyi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0would be better if it changed into a robot, ROBOTECH~!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's unreal! I've got permagrin now! Thanks.........DUGG
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The only thing it was missing was Goose.
- doit3d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have a flying EC-135 turbine model helicopter. The looks people have when seeing the model fly are priceless. It's not a cheap hobby, and not for an inexperienced r/c modeler though. These things can be very dangerous, and the safety procedures must always be observed.
Miniature turbine aircraft have been around for a few years now. - MichaelW2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^ already posted
Thats amazing. What I'm wondering is if the pilot flying that thing actually needs to be a real jet fighter pilot! Haha!
This makes me think of that video with those 2 THINGS flying - it could fly, then switch to the water and be a boat, then take off flying again, then land on the ground and be a car!
Can anyone find me a link to that? I've looked everywhere! - mad1stl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seen this video a year ago but had to watch it again. An A++ Digg IMHO. ;-)
- grislygus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DAMN cool.
- mofomojo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It would be awesome if they had like a really small version of it that had a camera in it. You could fly it around like a real life video game.
Definite digg ^__^
^__^ - Sixcolors, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Certainly isn't anything new, but it's cool to see one in action after seeing so many pictures in magazines. Forget the landing, how about that immelman he pulled off?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anyone know how to go about getting a license to fly one of these bad boys? I'm pretty sure I'd be happy to get up every morning to attend flyers ed as well. Well done, sir.
- bigwang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Does anyone think it's fake?
When it's on the ground, it looks so clunky. The way it rolls and the way the wings tilt.
yet when it gets in the air it's so acrobatic. - SeanMoney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That was the *****, I needs me one o' them . That dude stuck that landing
- 5blocksfree, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That is one awesome model. I'd sure hate to lose it in a crash.
@ tryferos >> Cool indeed...but this is cooler...and damn funny too...
Nice link. And yes, it was damn funny! - FelixdaaHack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Enough with the flyign lawnmowers already!....tryferos already posted a link to it
- mc1123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0very cool. how would you land it though?
- jk_baller23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0pretty pimp. I wouldn't call it a toy. Toys are something that are easily replacable. That definitely doesn't look like it can be easily replaced. I would install a camera in the front and fly it like that.
