- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24Sweet, it's dead. We're like a roving electronic death squad. Come, my minions, another unsuspecting site has been made popular!
- dude3609, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8it also claims google.com is for sell.
http://www.domainsbot.com/results.aspx?q=google - sporktek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Site's broken right now, so I can't check it out, but I'm highly suspect of "domain searches" as it's not an uncommon practice for unscrupulous companies to use such things to facilitate squatting. I've read several horror stories (linked from digg no less) in which a person would go to a backwater domain search site to check if a domain he wants is available, some highly unique thing like "johnbakesgoodcookies.net", find it available one day, then not long after when he tries to register it, discovers that it's in holding and that he'd have to pay an outrageous amount more than a run-of-the-mill domain registration.
I tend to search for domains through the big registrars only and otherwise keep a lid on the domains I'd like to register right up until the point that I submit the order. - FuzzyCat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5
roflmao!
I tried "I like to move it move it" some of the options it gave me were:
iliketoactivityitactivityit.com
ienjoytomoveitactivityit.com
.. well it made me giggle anyway... - unlimitedorb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4A much better alternative (And by far not the only) if your interested in AJAX domain searching would be instantdomainsearch.com, there's nothing new about this...
- lucamartinetti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Lite version is up!
http://test.domainsbot.com/lite/ - Academicballa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This one is the best in my opinion.
- cuoops, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3We broke it
- mweels, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3http://www.ajaxwhois.com
This has saved me sooooo much time. - daveboudreau, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I agree that instantdomainsearch.com is, by far, the best ajax'd domain search app out there.
- martinsc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3how about http://www.instantdomainsearch.com/ - also great :)
- mr1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Domainsbot is so slow though. It might be the sudden influx of users. http://www.pcnames.com/ is an AJAX-powered domain search site that I use. Never had a problem with it. Great site. Nice and fast.
- akira117, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2love it! thanks
- jdc760, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Server Error in '/' Application."
Looks like we broke it... - vdxc, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2@wrenchone
It's squurl.com - my domain is apparently available (when I click the links to buy, the registrar informs me it isn't) - wrenchone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@ Amything
Either Squurl isn't very good, or some squatter has beaten me to fjdhtudnhgu.com and.net. - lowbot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I wouldnt use any of these services if i was seriously shopping for a domain. Id just use a command-line whois search. I suspect many of these websites are caching the names you type and buying up anything that looks interesting.
- utch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Source: Google like 10 months ago, but good tool, I have found that it is not always accurate as to what is still available even when it lists it as available.
- thr0n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1still
- massimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey guys, we are working on a lite version to allow everybody to try the service.
It will be up really soon, so stay tuned;) - sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4I registered yourmom.com so I could squat on it.
Thank you, and good morning! Be here all the day! - afx1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1register.com?? might as well go with networksolutions since you got money to throw away.
- macinbest, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1According to that site, google.com is for sale, starting bid at $1,900
o_O - thr0n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Server Error in '/' Application.
- inlove, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ sockpuppets
Yep "This is so embarrassing. We are sorry but we seem to be having some technical inconveniences right now" - inlove, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks neat. I suppose I don't have to go to annoying register.com anymore.
- Pichold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Been using it for a while - It's good for IDEAS, but not so much modifying searches on the fly. It always readds checks next to synonyms, etc. Becomes a PITA if trying to find the right domain by changing search criterion.
- thisoldmage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I want to buy!

ooh... uploading a screenshot made me miss the last comment, but, I have a screenshot. I win. - lazyleo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1:) thats nice buddy keep up the good work...any plans to include more extentions?
- lazyleo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You know what i go there so often! and the best thing is they dont bug you with any sort of advertising i always wondered how the site makes money though :)
- treelovinhippie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I use http://www.dotster.com a lot to search for multiple domains. But definitely like the ajax in domainsbot.
- rrrrw22, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I think my favorite way to find domains is http://www.bustaname.com/ Basically it combined words for you and tells you what domains are available. Also it helps you find similar words to the ones you enter.
- findhostcoupons, on 03/21/2009, -0/+1Yep, good domain name for search engine!
- MarkoBarko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hmmm...
"hot steamy vixens do battle tested robots"
came back with
"hotsteamyvixensdobattletestedrobots.com"
how boring... - massimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1thanks mate;)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Bummer it doesn't work. I entered three different domains, it said that they were available, but they are already registered...
Try disambiguo.us for example...
I wish peopple would actually try these things before submitting them... - Energon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1^Yes, I typed "google.com" and I got:
~~~~
For Sale at Sedo $1,900.00
~~~~
It must be great - sublim3, on 02/16/2009, -0/+0yes... I also use domainsbot.com for years... I love their ajax domain lookup.. very convenient... but for bulk domain/whois lookups I use http://www.dnbots.com
- massimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0me is currently celebrating at code:D
- massimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Same as above;). Everything seems burning here, but we are working on it.
- mooncava, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I actually had an experience like you're describing with domainsbot the other week. I was using it to find an "ad" related domain name for a new site and came up with AdUpp(.com) which was available according to both domainsbot and domaintools. I ran it by my business partner, double-checked its availability on those two sites again, and registered on godaddy. 5 minutes after receiving a confirmation email, I received another email saying they were unable to obtain the domain. I called godaddy and was told by the reasonably helpful customer service agent that he couldn't figure out why they weren't able to register it, but it appeared as if another registrar, registerfly, was able to secure they name at the exact same time I submitted my request. I found the contact email for the company that purchased the name and offered to buy it for a reasonable price. Their response: 8,700 euros! I'm not claiming that this is the fault of domainsbot, but it has made me much more cautious about using these types of sites.
- lucamartinetti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Our website is and will remain completely free for users! We earn money with commissions on domains we sell and providing our domain search system to registrars. We're providing domain suggestions on godaddy.com, google apps for domains, tucows network, register.com etc..
- lucamartinetti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey Guys! Huge traffic! It's great to be under the digg effect!.. keep going!.. Looks like we'll be working all night long. :p -DomainsBot Tech Team
- abihsot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Web hosting + Domain = $1 for the first year
http://dealspl.us/Web-Hosting-00-for-the-first-year_19785 - 1InMany, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0might not be geared for the kinda traffic that the diggers can generate :D
nevertheless - it's helpful .. - sasso20, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great!!! good boys

Yep, sure we did.
Its time for celebration, lets party! - massimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes, there are. We will include more extensions in the future.
- Amything, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Another alternative ajax search: http://squurl.com/
