- AhmedF, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This is retarded - why link to the blog and not to the site itself?
- cstump, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4what a lame name...
- pile0nades, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3http://competitio.us/
- tadda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Great if your competitors are practicing full disclosure through their blogs... and if the data Alexa brings in is wholly accurate
- carguy84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2LOL Alexa accurate haha, ya if only, then that stat would be cool :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3What a useless website. All these guys that are late to the "web 2.0" game are really startin to scrape the bottom of the barrel for ideas.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"detailed traffic data from Alexa"
Alexa is patently useless. It only collects data from people who have their toolbar, which is in no way representative. - oavil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks interesting, but would be better if it automatically aggregated information for you (vs having to submit). I guess it's like del.icio.us for monitoring competition with some added info.
- magicdan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice looking interface etc but no ground broken here. The first people to release what your competitors are bidding on in terms of online marketing keywords will be a true killer feature. Would be nice to see some true innovative features or well thought out like http://www.zippy.co.uk

Does this mean Competitio.us reserves the right to tell your competitors what information you have collected about them? - mazza558, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sony vs Nintendo in the most gruelling way possible!
Sorry, couldn't resist :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Dotnetsky:
*****. http://digg.com/tech_news/Why_Alexa_is_Worthless - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Because every ***** with a blog these days wants to attract traffic.
- canewediggit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1good idea, bad name and website. a fortune 500 may want and pay for it if positioned right, but they're not going to take "competitio.us" seriously.
- Dotnetsky, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The cross - section of people that have the Alexa toolbar (I do not, personally) is actually a pretty good proxy for web surfers. What's important is not whether they represent websurfers as a whole, but that the relative statistics of their sample over time track pretty well. So I wouldn't be so quick to discount the value of Alexa's services.
- dudinatrix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That is one SLICK looking site! http://competitio.us/
- apetrie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Damn, dugg for the mere fact that it told me there were two other projects that had a common competitor with mine. Considering how specific it is, that is damn good info to have. Too bad I can't see what they are, but it totally makes sense that I wouldn't be able to. I wouldn't want them seeing mine either! The only thing I'd like is suggestions for other sites I could add as competition, based on what the other projects I have a competitor in common with have on their lists.
- apetrie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It is not necessarily the goal of every company or website to be bought out by a larger company. Besides that though, considering how popular the web 2.0 style is, both naming and look, I think you're wrong about it being taken seriously anyway.
- zupa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.alexaholic.com works fine for me ;-)
anyway - it is not possible to make "projects" public here... why the hell would I make a private comparison? it is not "social"... - SillyDude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think most people who are creating a company would rather keep the information private. That is not to say that they won't enable you to export some of the information soon ;).
- canewediggit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i'm not saying buy it outright as a company, i mean paying for the service. i'm sure a co like nike might take an interest in having anything about addidas delivered to one place automatically, but you need to position it better. try spelling out that url to a 50 something yr old vp of strategy at a fortune 500. and you still have to trick them into thinking they need to pay you a significant amount of money to do something anybody in their it dept could do rather easily. he'll hang up the phone.
- maxium, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I believe Alexa is evil...
~M - Quavistar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I would venture to say that this looks like the perfect opportunity to blog a little misinformation to confuse the competition. "Can you hear me now?" I second a Digg for the Web 2.0 name, eric1.
- eric1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Dugg for the Web 2.0 name.
- wintermd, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Wait. If the government did this to track terrorists??? We would all be against it.

What is Digg?
