- nfg05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2do you think either digg or slashdot is going to have a problem with people ripping off their stories/summaries, putting them on another page, and cutting into their ad revenue?
- sidd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Old news. Almost a duplicate of the diggslash.us post, but still interesting. From the point of view of someone wanting to compare /. and digg's quality in front page stories, this site is fantistic.
Sadly, looking at it now, digg still has the problem of too much old, duplicated or memetic news items on its front page. Digg's main flaw remains that people who missed the news the first time around can easily digg a duplicate up to front page.
Just an observation, hope noone considers this trolling. - maxnb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2now we need a website that combines all the combined sites, like for example: www.slashdigg.diggslash.wireddigg.technews.digg.and.slashdigg.all.in.one.com
- Durinthal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have digg, /., Wired, and more on my Google homepage already.. thanks, but it's superfluous.
http://www.google.com/ig - iamdexter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1nice digg effect. lol
http://www.chineselaundryshoes.us/ - JamesWilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://diggdot.us/
- BladeMelbourne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Neat idea. Using another font in the CSS is a suggestion. :-)
- jamesyeang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wish there was a combined RSS feed for slashdigg
- paulypopex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Sadly, looking at it now, digg still has the problem of too much old, duplicated or memetic news items on its front page" - yeah, damn this democracy! Lots of eople who are digging are the same people who forward on fake virus warnings and "OMG this really happened to my friend's friend" stories and I guess it'll only get worse - is there a rating of the people who're doing the rating in digg?
- Zomie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0whoatemydigg, good idea...I might just execute that for ya ;-)
- cypher35, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i had seen a couple attempts at this before, but this site is really cool!
- laserone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now all we need is www.DiggSlashFark.com!!!

- roxtar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Shouldn't it be diggslash? or reverse the layout. :-/
- Twelve-60, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0www.dogpile.com
- sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wasn't http://diggdot.us/ this dugg before? combining digg, slashdot, and del.icio.us :) too bad i can't compare it to the dugg link...
- RaistlinMajere, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice work, good layout
- SubZ3r0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice site but why do people spam there blog links no one ***** cares unless u have news worth going to your blog for so stop bein a 14yr old kid and stop spamming your crap! destroys good diggs and the entire comment section!

- rotero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice content but can u improve the font and the appearance of the site...
- amishjim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol for a second i had all these rss feeds on my website, til i redesigned/
- VelvetoneFusion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"u guys are nuts. now you only have to check one site every 13 minutes" on a slow day.
that was the first thing I thought. I miss a day from digg, and I already feel like i have to spend an hour in the rss catching up... - Smoktiludy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The layout IS reversible.
- shafiq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0digg effect
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like it. I like it alot. They should do the same with search engines
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very cool.
Now if 'slash digg fark.com' existed, I'd never leave the house. - maxnb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Google is the best, I got all the news from any big site I want on my personalized webpage for google...
- wingo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0have s0mething good (digg) add something bad (/.)
-no digg
i rest my case! - Tracon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm surprised the site wasn't slashdugg or duggdotted or what ever were going to call it now
- jasonmburns, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like http://www.DiggShoutSlash.com
It combines Digg.com, ShoutWire.com, and Slashdot.org into one. A huge time saver. - siouxmoux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I already have my own geek news portal, by using google start page combined with rss feeds from my favorite nerd tech news sites.
- noparepo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love it, I love it. :-D
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice idea, implementation needs some work. Only shows front page?
- britkev1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its a good idea but I also prefer a news reader to get everything in one place. Plus coming straight to Digg is half the fun!
- yomuppet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah I dunno... I prefer separately.
- mkjones, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Freshnews.org is better.
No Digg, sorry. - sidd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0err. sorry, i said siddslash.us, i meant http://diggdot.us
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ugh, its been dugg.
people say that before even looking at the story. like if someone posts a forum link they ignorantly state: "Ugh it requires registration" , when ((% of the time it doesnt. you peopl make me sick. - Iccanui, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0While i applaud the idea, i use the google home page to do this already and its in a smaller, neater interface. Very cool though.
- frankgoertzen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ya ... a news reader is much better for this...personally i prefer reader.google.com
- elev8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Bleh, it's just the RSS feeds from the 2 sites combined in to one. And they're *****, plain-text feeds, with no HTML in them (so no links within slashdot posts).
Get a decent RSS aggregator (and don't say FireFox cause the one in it blows chunks and gives all RSS aggregators a poor image)... http://reader.google.com - DarthDaddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very cool, especially the switching & framing. Well done. Who made this?
- indiannerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice stuff. There a site thats done a similar thing but its been there for long, plus it archives upto four days. http://www.gandabacha.com/technology.htm includes 5 top stories from not only slash and digg but also from various other interesting news sites, its also displays a collection of exploits and advisory news links too. I must say that one is truly best of the web. Check it out guys.
- search, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool idea but I think it could be better over all.
- Zomie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 jamesyeang give me the weekend, also I will fix the fonts by tomorrow, keep the feedback up guys I want to make the site as easy to use for my users.
