College funding bill passed with anti-P2P provisions intact

arstechnica.com — The Senate has reauthorized the Higher Education and Education Act and approved controversial new provisions that require universities to develop plans to fight on-campus copyright infringement. The MPAA plans to provide schools with a "campus briefing book" with info on the new law.

    It's ok, all the universities have to do is put their plans as a PDF in a shared folder. I seem to recall someone saying that was "making available."

The MPAA had violated copyright law by failing to adhere to the General Public License under which Ubuntu is distributed."

  • MACady, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1The whole of congress must be delusional; they act like they have an approval record in the 90's but it's lower than President Bush's approval rating. In fact the whole federal government's approval rating is so low I'm surprised that we're all not marching on Washington.

At least there are always video games and foreign films/anime... but what other options do I have to express my disgust? (resident alien, can't vote... and not like they listen to us)
