- geekchic, on 12/06/2007, -0/+3As a kid, I was trained by my father to write very profesionally - and I also used to play with calligraphy as a teenager (sending letters in Gothic handwriting is much fun!). However, after years of typing almost everything on a computer, my handwriting has now declined to an awful scrawl.
I am keeping an eye out for a good "how to write properly" book so that I can sit down for an hour a week (or so) and learn to have decent handwriting again. It is incredibly embaressing at times to sit in meetings with senior managers and notice their perfect writing styles and then look at the barely legible "crap" on my notepad. - burketthumor, on 12/06/2007, -0/+1OMG!! I was a calligraphy geek too, when I was in sixth grade. Used to go to a place called MacAulay's to pick up mechanical pencils and calligraphy pens. Nothing impresses a lady more than good penmanship... But I am also no longer able to write legibly... very sad.
