CBS and GOOGLE Close to a deal on YouTube!

contactmusic.com — CBS and Google are in "serious talks" aimed at making the content of CBS television shows available on Google-acquired YouTube, where it could be sponsored by local advertisers, Advertising Age reported Thursday.

    Umm.. yeah. In fact it's the most watched network on television. If YouTube is going to strike this kind of deal with any company, it should be CBS for that very reason. Other channels will soon follow suit.

  • thechristoph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Um, me? I don't know what mutant service provider you have, but even my 8 megabit cable can't download a 60-minute HD program in just a couple of minutes. Youtube's format and quality are fine for casual watching and quick downloading.

    I mean sure admitting to liking Prison Break puts your geekhood at stake because of the number of plotholes, but the fact is, its one exciting watch. And there are other shows too

    I watch CBS's shown on innertube all the time (now that I dropped my DVR) I would go back to HD-rips if they degraded to YouTube quality.

    YouTube is good to watch homemade stuff from the common user, not movies and television shows.
