- aurrea, on 10/12/2007, -2/+80Am I the only one that almost had a seizure trying to understand that description?
- wayjer, on 10/12/2007, -6/+51It was unintentional
- toast1226, on 10/12/2007, -10/+41anyone notice that the sexual intercourse digg submission is gone from the frontpage? *cry*
- sulthernao, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28It's one rebate per household, I think your screwed.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+37yes. it was VeryNice! guess this site isnt as liberal as i thought
here is the link
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6563093803907965843 - swoosh_bnd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+181,000 rebates? I hate just doing 1.
- Four20, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15already out of stock
- oOLiquidNightOo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15actually diggs cracking down A LOT with nudity. earlier in the week, i posted a link to the new pirelli calendar. it had one arty nude but was mostly SFW. my account was disabled without explanation.
i emailed digg and they responded quickly and told me i violated the TOS. which, admittedly i had never actually read. the email then said that if i agreed not to post similar content again, my account would be reinstated. - spacebar14, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12"Update: Add this $2 item and shipping is free for your entire order. That saves $5. Update: The $2 item is out of stock. Update: This $4 item does the same trick, saving $3."
HAHA - Artemis11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Link to the PDF with mail-in rebate:
http://www.jr.com/images/pdf/rebates/ULR1_20061130.pdf
Link to the SD Card:
http://dealnews.com/artclick.html?141713,232611
Link to $2 item that when added remove the $6 dollar shipping:
http://dealnews.com/artclick.html?141713,232623 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Or just spend a few extra dollars at newegg, tigerdirect...etc...without the mail-in rebate headaches.
- Artemis11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Wow, I'll be getting one of these. If you use an item that includes free shipping, and only cost $2 with it, you actually get PAID a few dollars to get it.
Hurry, before the digg effect forces them to remove it. =) - zephc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12I noticed that too - the comments disappeared, then the story did. Its not like you can find tons of porn on the net anyway, at least this was explaining various anatomical info as the couple did it. There were probably a couple close-ups I didnt need to see, but still, informative.
- mezoko, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11Digg this story up: http://digg.com/videos_educational/NSFW_Digg_Censors_Educational_Documentary
Its the one that was on the frontpage - OpCzar, on 10/12/2007, -14/+19I'm only here to ask what happened to the bbc sex documentary that was on the front page. It was actually tasteful and educational. Is digg really censoring that?
- sTiVo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I never did figure out how it comes out to $1.94.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+13http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6563093803907965843
- romman00, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6you guys have to understand that there are younger children that browse digg. pornography or not, this video is still very graphic and parents may not want their children watching this kind of material.
- zephc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6sorry, wayjer (this story's submitter), this thread has been hijacked to also discuss the sexumentary along side the SD card stuff.
- Artemis11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Apparently, it has been removed from the site. Luckily, I got mine in before it hit the home page. Just saying that its not a scam =).
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Or I could have just bought a 1GB at Best Buy for 14.99 and not have to buy three other things and submit a rebate...I hate the hassle
- Darth_tater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4that's an onrebate.com rebate
if you like gambling then i guess its worth it; otherwise, don't ever expect to see that rebate.
Ive submitted 15 rebates to them, following all their instructions to the letter and i have gotten only one rebate honored. - Dylan16807, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5The TOS says nothing obscene or pornographic. Considering it is educational, I don't see how it violates that. It didn't seem particularly pornographic to me, and would you call an anatomy textbook obscene? I could understand removing it from the front page, but not deleting the whole page, as if it never existed.
- tavisjohn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Marked Innaccurate. There are rebates, therefore it is NOT $2.00!!!
- khag7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Oh and to think..i paid $3 a piece at circuit city on black friday for 5 of these. i SO got ripped off
- nox327, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well I can't find that deal anymore. i think they removed it.
This link doesn't take you to any product.
http://dealnews.com/artclick.html?141713,232611 - ko16736, on 10/12/2007, -7/+9I suppose so, good thing I still have the link to it!
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6563093803907965843
I wonder what my corporal punishment will be!
Oh sweetmartian beat me to it. Oh well...
I downloaded it too, so if it ever gets bumped off of Google Video, I will still have it! - MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I snagged up a 2gb sd from frys the other day for 9 bucks
- 13tongimp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I totally agree...stating a post rebate price as the offer is total BS.
- mhearne, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4What I want to know, is why can't I just send them the $1.94, and skip all the rebate crap?
By the way, I usually don't get reimbursed for my rebates. What a scam.
Also, why does system memory cost a hundred bucks, and all these flash cards only pennies. I thought the price fixing stuff had gone to court and the manufacturers had lost. - OpCzar, on 10/12/2007, -9/+11We need to get it back on the front page. It is outrageous to censor such material because it explicitly said that it's NSFW but shouldn't be classified as porn!
- MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2wrong topic no? Funny non the less.
- billymachine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I can't find it, I think they removed it already! :. (
- SystmBetatester, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1well this deal was raped! FTW. anyway im hoping flashcards will be getting cheaper, there a real pocket buster, specially for homebrewer's
- mhockey14221, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Too late. Oh well.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I wouldn't trust the quality of "Ultra", an unheard brand AND also I wouldn't trust them to actually send a rebate check to you. Even large chain stores sometimes run rebate scams, eg. CompUSA lawsuit.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8A Tasteful Sex Documentary? I'm in!
- mhearne, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5There was a news report last week that stated that only 1% of websites on the Internet contained porn, or links to porn. Suddenly, everyone from Glenn Beck to the government is trying to claim otherwise, because this exposure wrecks a lot of their propaganda.
Like the RIAA, Microsoft, and all the other claimants who are trying to say that theft and immorality is so widespread, they really don't like real statistics being published.
BTW, nudity is not pornography, and that was decided by the Supreme Court in 1972. - bat-21, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ultra products are crap. I wouldn't get this card if it was free.
- subxero37, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I got four 1 GB SD cards from Staples yesterday morning (mmm, 6 AM) for $20 total -- that's a nice deal, considering Staples is within walking distance, and that means no shipping. I'm using one for my music, one for my girlfriend's music (we both share the same MP3 player), one for my camera, and one for whatever.
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Buy some 200 and put them in a RAID 0 Array!
Ive seen it done with 3.5inch Floppy Diskettes - romman00, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1it would seem that it is common sense that a price as low as 2 bucks for a 1gb sd card would have a rebate involved (either that or a price mistake - and the latter probably wouldn't have a lot of diggs because price mistakes usually don't go through). so not necessarily inaccurate.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why is this big news? Not only are there $15 ones without rebates, but I saw at least one store that had one for $29.99 with a 27 rebate. No shipping.
So, whether or not you want to deal with rebates, you have a better option either way. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1After you back it up then stop, now drop it like it's hot drop drop it like it's hot.
- mhearne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@romman, I was not implying that there is not a difference between gyrating suggestive stuff and simple art. That is the sort of thing that certain folks have been using for years to test our Constitution. I do realize that our enemies try to use our own laws against us.
However, being the son of a fine artist, I also realize that there is a line that must be drawn, otherwise we may find ourselves back under the yoke of Puritan Dictatorship; there is a reason that particular group was excluded from representation in our new republic.
In the days of the colonies, each had a state religion. When the United States was formed, it was supposed to have been with all religious ties excluded. There was never supposed to be a "Church of America".
I am a Constitutionalist, and please do not confuse me as being a member of the "Constitution Party". No affiliation. We are supposed to conduct business using something similar to "Roberts Rules of Order" and the church is not supposed to be involved at all.
When Jesus asked the man "Whose image is on this coin?", he was telling us to keep church out of politics and politics out of church. I suppose that we need occasional reminders of these things.
Sex should not be some nasty act, to be hidden away, and spoken of in secret. I realize that because many people are reared that way, that is the only way they can think; but with patience, we can change all of that.
Suppose you lived on a farm, and your kids had been watching the animal mate all of their lives. That would simplify the "Birds and the Bees" for you, but still, I have to ask, who made sex nasty?
I hate the sex industry, probably more than you, but the answer is not in law enforcement, but in education. - raabco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'd jump on this deal, as I need a SD card for my new phone. Unfortunately I'll have to pass on this one though, as the phone is ultra-proof.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not to mention both of those deals I described were San Disk. So, better deals, for a better brand.
- lib24, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4I just ordered 1,000
- dralezero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ultra sucks
- AjayF, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Caution with the documentary link about sex. That girl has a loose meat sandwich going.

What is Digg?
