- WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why are you singling out Yahoo, dekku?
- Philipp_Lenssen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Interesting approach.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why don't you boycott China instead, guy?
- paulsha911, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For those of you who made the sarcastic comments, are you ignorant or clueness?
Yahoo has come under fire, including at a congressional hearing in February, for choosing to locate servers used by Yahoo Mail inside China instead of in a jurisdiction that is more protective of free speech and privacy rights, which Google and Microsoft already do.
In addition to Shi Tao, there is now the Li Zhi case. Yahoo shows a pattern fo repeatedly working with the Chinese government to prosecute free press.
Let's not forget that Yahoo gave the American government millions of records it wanted, allegedly to bolster the Child Online Protection Act, which was ruled probably unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in 2004.
I guess you only care if it happens in your own backyard? - DeKku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey, this is not intended to be a Google vs Yahoo war!
As I pointed out in the update to my post: "I know that Google is not better, nor is Microsoft. I'll do the same as soon as Amnesty (or others) will promote similar campaign against them." - p2pintel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice! dugg! could you please put up the code for microsoft's msn spaces and google's blogger?
not that am a google hater.. but surely google can do better with their policies in China.. think of it as a quality improvement campaign for google :) - thenativeraver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0LAME
come to your senses and use your brain!
what did yahoo do to you personally? - manee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You people are missing the point. I don't think Kristoff is calling for a boycott of Yahoo because they do business in China. He's calling for a boycott because yahoo "snitched" on a reporter who will know probably die in prison for actually doing his duty as a citizen of his country. Keeping an eye on & uncovering corruption in his government.
- mhl12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0not gonna happen. sorry.
- stevenp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no digg unless you can prove to me that you have nothing manufactured in china in your home.

I was hoping for someone more skilled than me in Java Script to write down some better, parametric code. - p2pintel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://360.yahoo.com/boycottworldwide
that isn't exactly intelligent.. yahoo could easily pull it off... - WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This idiocy is being brought to you by Google!
"Don't be evil" Yeah right.
