- alexdagrate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I especially like how the '86 Windows boot screen's "O" looks like a pixelated goatse.
- terrya64, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I also had an Amiga 500, it was ahead of it's time in the games and graphics.

- republicoftexas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0someone should create a boot package for xp so you can select any screen you want from the classic list.
- fidosax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Amiga 500 - I loved it. Got the UPGRADE to 1 meg of ram (it cost extra too)!

- rishdeep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Those Amiga screens take me back. Especially Workbench. I suddenly have the urge to play a game of Sensible Soccer...
- themajor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0very cool find
- RevnCliffie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ah the TI-99 back in the good old days where you typed Load and then hit play on a tape recorder, then walked uphill in the snow both ways to hunt a wumpus. I think I'm gonna cry.
- mousky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0C64 rules. I'm still amazed at what could be down with that computer. I should go pull the one I have out storage and tinker around with it.
- fudgebrown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I used to have that TI computer. We would play Defender on it... amazing...
- H_o_p_s, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The sad thing is that I remember booting many of these... makes me feel old.

- NightShade, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It was nice to see the boot screen from the old TI-99... My very first computer... If only they had the boot screen from the Atari 800XL also, then both of my pre-MSDOS computers that I owned would be represented.
- berzerk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0load "*",8,1
- quirky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice one, sure brings back some memories. :)

well, techically they are, for their respective machines that is..
remember kids, hi res back then was 640x480 on a 12" monitor :) - Alaerus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This story reminds me of my recent good-karma incident. While visiting a friend in MO we stopped in a thrift store and I found a TI-99 -- they had it priced for FIVE DOLLARS. This thing is in perfect condition, even the box was very nice. The lady at the counter called it a "keyboard" .... heheh my lucky day.
- RevnCliffie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Oh am I jonesing to play some Parsec on the TI-99!
- ski081, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hell yeah! Commodore 64!
- renegade334, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love how windows 95 is considered an old old old boot up screen from a long forgotten operating system.
lol
Although, i guess it was almost 11 years ago, thats crazy, it feels like yesterday i was using it. - ah802, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You missed the Interact computer.... ran MS basic along with Forth, Qbasic, Logo and a few others in full 16 colours.
- Sh|fty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BeOS, the little one that tried
- alexander000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ah, my pal the Commodore 64.
kids today are spoiled.
LOAD NOSTALGIA - Tripp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Oh, man a TI. What I would give for someone to make an XP bootup screen like that.
- 16x9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here's a laugh for you. I wrote a program for the TI-99/4A years ago to select NFL winners (against the spread). The program has made money for me every year since I wrote it in the early eighties.
Nowadays "Best Bets" Football (my program) executes on PC99 (a TI emulator from CADD Electronics) which in turn runs under Microsoft DOS emulation (by way of VirtualPC) on my Mac.
Two layers of emulation and it still runs about a zillion times faster than it did on the actual 99/4A hardware. Doesn't mean I don't have fond memories of those days. The TI was my first real computer. - orabox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0When I looked at these it brought me back “To the day” Old Skool fer sure
- Crazyguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Filtered at my school.
Supposed Reason: The Websense category "Games" is filtered. - seven5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wheres my familiar TOS screen from my Atari 520 ST and then my 1040 STE
