- Misterberu, on 05/24/2009, -2/+25Bah, if you're dumb enough to fall for these guys' website (it looks completely fake with bad English and low resolution images) after falling for their initial "advertisement" then you deserve that adware. Some people will argue that not everyone needs to know these things, but I'm sorry, if you're using a protocol like bittorent to the point that you really want to boost your speeds, then I think its important to understand exactly what bittorrent is and how it works. There's no excuse for going out and blindly downloading a program for something that you obviously know nothing about.
This is like me buying a "magic spinnaker" for a boat. I have no idea how a boat works, so I wouldn't know if the "magic spinnaker" would work or not. If I was to own a boat (and be in the need for a good spinnaker), then I would take the time (in Bittorent's case, this time is less than 10 minutes) to understand exactly what effect that spinnaker would have on my boat.

Personally I see this as a good thing, 10 years ago the pirate scene was a smaller underground movement. You only got stuff off the net if you had a damn good idea of where to look and what you were doing.
Because the scene was smaller, copyright holders kind of left them alone and the "casual pirate" did not exsist....
