...+1 ...Best Buy. - Yawgmoth, on 07/10/2009, -2/+345Best Buy .... a sense of humor??
WHERE AM I ... WHAT IS THIS PLACE? - tweedius, on 07/10/2009, -7/+242I would say Best Buy owned the ***** out of that guy and hit it dead on. I wonder how long he spent cleaning up his apartment before he took that picture of himself.
- WraTH017, on 07/10/2009, -6/+220I hate Best Buy and I don't particularly care for Gizmodo one way or the other, but I actually found Best Buy's response a lot funnier than the original article.
- ShoulderKnight, on 07/10/2009, -10/+198***** hipsters. Never thought I would side with Best Buy.
- stevenr21, on 07/10/2009, -7/+141pwned by best buy.. sad
- Richandler, on 07/10/2009, -0/+123Now we need the pic of all he diggers who don't go to Best Buy or Gizmodo but end up following this story.
- thebr3tt, on 07/10/2009, -1/+123Now I'm waiting for the re-response, "The Three Types of Best Buy Chief Executives."
- gamerbambi, on 07/10/2009, -6/+107Bloggers are the new Hippies
- Firespray1138, on 07/10/2009, -3/+80I hate you Best Buy but this made me laugh, you win this round.
- svartgotik, on 07/10/2009, -2/+72Damn, they nailed his look.
- Durrok, on 07/10/2009, -1/+67Clean? I think you mean "shuffle". All you have to do is move the cans/empty pizza boxes to the left and right then snap the picture. ;)
I uh... might have done this before. - Brightwyrm, on 07/10/2009, -2/+66Respect for the CMO of Best Buy now for talking some trash right back with good humor. Way to stand up for your company like a real person. And for the original blogger for taking the response with good humor as well.
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 07/10/2009, -0/+63This is the kind of stuff I want to see more corporations do. Stop taking everything offensively and have some fun with it, you know? No one hates you that way and instead you get people to laugh with you instead of laugh at you. It's better this way.
- YellowDucati, on 07/10/2009, -2/+60I'm the one type of Gizmodo reader who reads about the Seven Types of Employees You Meet at Best Buy on Gizmodo.
- mrebay007, on 07/10/2009, -1/+59Best Buy has a sense of humor.
Just look at the products and services they sell for laugh-out-loud prices. - supakoopa, on 07/10/2009, -2/+36Best Buy verbally kicked Gizmodo's ass. Sweet.
- D3L3T3D, on 07/10/2009, -3/+35Except hippies got laid
- pitdog, on 07/10/2009, -1/+30Touché
- JeffDUpp, on 07/10/2009, -0/+22self promotion is the mating call of the bury
- VinnieDaMac, on 07/10/2009, -2/+23I would have had more respect for the Best Buy guy if he had never taken it off in the first place and reposted it with a disclaimer.
- WunderTroll, on 07/10/2009, -9/+30So it's war then. Internet v. Best Buy.
- JCEEZ, on 07/10/2009, -0/+19You suck at humor.
- WunderTroll, on 07/10/2009, -2/+20http://m3moore.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/nerd.jp ...
- yocouchdigga, on 07/10/2009, -0/+18that's me, that's me! i feel special! :D
- shuffler42, on 07/11/2009, -0/+17That looks nothing like me. I have brown hair.
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 07/11/2009, -0/+15You hate them when instead of sending a takedown notice or even suing for making the company look bad, they turned around and made fun of Gizmodo right back? That makes total sense. Instead of suing people, poke right back at them.
Hell, think about EA. EA was accused of sending out a buggy Tiger Woods game because Tiger was able to walk on water. Yup. It's a bug. Instead of EA having YouTube take the video down, they took the chance to have some fun with it and made a video of the real Tiger Woods walking on water. It was genius on their part and got them looooads of good press. This is the way you handle a negative situation, not by making it go away but by blowing it out of proportion and showing that you are good sports about it and that you aren't screwed if you say something bad about them. - moothemagiccow, on 07/10/2009, -1/+16There's no bong in the photo
The guy is way too thin
Is that laptop running Linux? - hybridcreation, on 07/11/2009, -1/+15Who is dumber, him or you for going to Best Buy for a case fan?
- hydro123456, on 07/11/2009, -1/+15I found both pretty funny. I used to work at BB and Gizmodo nailed it, especially on the car audio thug, cute customer service girl, and the managers, but especially the car audio thug. BB gets a lot of points for the response too.
- otbeverly, on 07/10/2009, -0/+13Buried for OH GOD MY EYES!
- MrBogard, on 07/10/2009, -1/+14Pretty ironic to see this post on digg.
- MooseOfReason, on 07/11/2009, -0/+11Pwned without buying something from them. Double whammy.
- directedition, on 07/10/2009, -0/+11Amazing, I know. Best Buy actually produced something that made me smile.
- mcgoogins, on 07/11/2009, -1/+12For $79.99 he could have prevented this with the Monster (tm) Rep Protector Service Plan
- mardraum, on 07/11/2009, -0/+10you didn't spell that right, idito.
- plainOldFool, on 07/10/2009, -0/+10AnalJustice indeed
- deltron, on 07/10/2009, -0/+9Such... positive comments towards Best Buy! :O!!
- bfogarty27, on 07/10/2009, -1/+10except barry makes much much more moneys
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -2/+10More like "Win, Best Buy. Epic Win."
- sexybobo, on 07/10/2009, -3/+11They put up an ass covering intro on the post now.
- daviz0, on 07/10/2009, -1/+9:o best buy made a funny
- jman583, on 07/11/2009, -1/+9But bloggers don't have to inhale tear gas.
- bp332106, on 07/11/2009, -0/+7Same, I worked at Circuit City and this is freakishly correct. I can name every one of the characters he talks about. I suspect the original article is funnier for people who have worked at BB or CC
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -1/+8Uhm, he's doing PR. I'd say he's doing his job exceptionally well with that post.
- Hellicus, on 07/11/2009, -0/+7*Stares angrily to the BestBuy sign trough his window*
- speel, on 07/10/2009, -0/+7Oh he for got the fixed gear bike part.
- woog315, on 07/11/2009, -1/+7None of those even remotely describe Chief Executives.
- Gyga, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5So the dressing up and staging in order to mimic the image wasn't in good humor?
- digiguy, on 07/11/2009, -1/+6I went into Bestbuys looking for a case fan. The guy in the computer dept. asked me if I needed help. He didn't know what a case fan was.
