- readme, on 10/23/2009, -2/+6Microsoft's quarterly earnings come out today and word is they aint good. Time to show Ballmer the door. MSFT stock has been dead flat since he took the helm. They need someone to turn things around. Ballmer is a leftover of the old, bad Microsoft.
- dle5, on 10/23/2009, -0/+2Buried just for the subscription garbage. There's no point in submitting something people have to pay to read.

- nxusername, on 10/23/2009, -3/+5Dying company is dying.
- cyssero, on 10/23/2009, -1/+3Even though Ballmer has been around to see Windows 7, Bimg, the Zune HD and continued improvement and life in the Xbox 360 people keep riding him hard. MSFT stock has been low since the GFC, not just since Ballmer. Things are actually looking better for MSFT than they have in years.
In the public he's some crazy dude who throws chairs but I think behind the scenes he's getting the job done, even if he is just throwing chairs at DEVELOPERS. - ShingoEX, on 10/23/2009, -1/+2lol @ the anti-MS fanboys digging you down
- LinuxLiberty, on 10/23/2009, -2/+2I will have to give it to Microsoft, Windows7 seems to be a solid OS. Got a free version for going to an IT seminar, they seemed to have resolved the performance issues and the issues with the UAC that they had with Vista. They have some really nice features built for large enterprise environments. Problem Steps Recorder, Direct Access, the Branch Cache feature, Bit Locker (came out with Vista) but now they have have Bit Locker to Go which can encrypt FAT32 partitions including flash drives and external drives, and a host of security improvements. Not sure if I would shell out $200 for a home OS license or buy a preinstalled system with a bunch of trialware but I can definitely see large enterprises wanting these features.
- onlines, on 10/23/2009, -1/+0I'm going to have to agree. I installed Windows 7 (32 bit) and was blown away. At first i thought, "my quick launch bar is gone, my Control Panel looks like a cluster f**k of icons, and ... oh, gadgets on the desktop themselves? Taskbar has been completely re-done... Tasktray can select which icons to display and which to hide..."
I was blown away by the speed. - onlines, on 10/23/2009, -1/+0By leaving, he would be able to easily pull it off. But, when he continues to say stuff along the lines of, "the Internet was not designed to be on the iPhone" then in the same breath, the Internet was not designed to be on any mobile handheld either.
