- phsv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Thanks for the link. It helps to see the different readers compared side-by-side in that chart.
- chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4How anyone could recommend Google Reader is beyond me, it's just terrible.
- hobbsy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3a spelling mistake in the first paragraph puts me off this site
- shiftless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Google Reader is so slow! Firefox + Sage is the solution for me.
- Alabama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Does anyone have a list of good feeds to subscribe to? I never have enough feeds to warrent a feed reader.
- teh1337one, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Digg front page, ask a ninja, win-vista, winsupersite, dl.tv, gprime.net, hackedgadgets, milkandcookies to name a few interesting sites you might be interested in. On-line comics: controlaltdelete-online, and thenoobcomic. But really, not being able to come up with sites you frequently visit is rather lame.
- miker71, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Vienna for me.
- Illuminatus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Newsfire for Mac is amazing. Very fast and allows you to create feed groups along the lines of iTunes smart playlists. One of the very few apps I was happy to pay for.

- feedscott, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Techcrunch has become a quintessential digg regular. This is the fifth or sixth Techcrunch story that will probably hit the front page. Somebody set up a mirror quick!
- dekkerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It is nice to have the side by side comparisons, but I'd like to see one not filtered via web 2.0 features. For me, RSS is all about updating anywhere on any equipment, at any speed. The highest rated site doesn't have mobile access. Yes, I know techcrunch is web 2.0 focused(and in my feed reader), just saying...
- kderby2000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think NewsGator is fantastic. Browser-based, so it's platform agnostic, and it works like a champ. Highly configurable as well.
Oh...and it's free, which is always good, too.
http://www.newsgator.com - yahoofrom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1techcrunch are good at reviews.
- Haplo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Firefox is more then sufficient to me without any extension: http://johnbokma.com/firefox/rss-and-live-bookmarks.html
Clean, simple, and just what I need :-) - mike42780, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just discovered http://www.alesti.org/. Really like the clean, simple interface. I was surprised not to see it on techcrunch's list.
- greenrider, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The story purposefully ignores the single best RSS feed reader I've found - Netvibes.
Sure, it's more of a portal than a pure RSS reader, but play with it for 5 minutes. I tried it out, and immediately ditched Sage and everything else I was trying. - kilps, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Google Reader is ok - although I am on dialup so a few speed problems is hardly a concern.
With reference to someone who asked what thye put in the reader - simple, you read something interesting linked to from Digg and browse the sites homepage - if you like what you see subscribe to the feed and see what comes of it ... :) - beatdigga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1if you have your own web hosting try this out

I've been using bloglines for a while, mostly because work dosen't block it, I does have a delay from when content is added to when it displays it.
props for that alesti.org that looks nice and simple - settsu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Next up: "Awesome Review of Spell-Checkers"
- jeff1943, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Bloglines all the way. Its got all the feature I need.
- chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I prefer bloglines right now - easy, access anywhere.
- rysolag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Here's one they forgot to mention:
http://beanrocket.com - beatdigga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nice plug.. I'm gonna check that tonite.
- adame, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's a typo, not a spelling mistake. Huge difference...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Want a fast RSS Reader? Set this up on your own web server: http://www.shokk.com/blog/articles/tag/feedonfeeds
It has many of the big features mentioned on the TechCrunch page and should suit anyone that needs to read more than a few feeds. - ShmoeTheHo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i just installed reblog 2 days ago, im loving it... http://www.reblog.org
- ddmsel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I use netvibes.com as my rss reader.
- motivr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I also use Netvibes.com instead of those RSS readers.. It's simple and easy to use..
