- misterpony, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I like the tag system there...would be useful on Digg.
- nfollmer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4You do realize, though, that it's only a matter of time until the same people that spam and post dup stories on here, get on that site and do the same. I think it is something that will be hard to stop, no matter where you go. Digg still has great stories and is on top of everything, I don't think I'll ever stop using digg.
- bluephoenix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I agree with everything you've said....and I am going to phase out of using digg as much as I have previously....I used to rely on the site to keep me ahead of the game as far as technology goes and it's helped my career immensely....I submit this link to others that feel the same because I really think wikio has the formula down .....also in case you're wondering I have no affiliation whatsoever in the site I just think it's refreshing....
- nfollmer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I do miss the old digg, but the "new" digg is still just as awesome, just a little more annoying. It's not diggs fault in general, its the users who love to spam or just say the dumbest things. As far as the "top user gaming" goes, more power to them. They find quality stories and post them. Why should we be upset with them just because they now what we want to see (or the people who pay them now what we want to see). If you don't like what digg has become, don't use it.
- bluephoenix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Here's the tech section
http://www.wikio.com/technology - GnuTzu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The tag system is very impressive. You can create a tab (page) along with an associated RSS feed, and the content for that tab can include quite a long list of tags (and the tags can include spaces). Very nice.
- JohnDGeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1One thing I like about Wiko is they have similar stories grouped together with a link to view all similar stories. Great way to deal with the dups.
- treehead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Here's feature idea to solve this problem. Digg it:

Create a tab, call it "web2" an you'll have dedicated news and tags, add RSS and the content changes dynamically. Wikio is finally totally different from Digg except the "vote" button. It's a king of Google News with hundreds or perhaps thousands of topics and more advanced features. Yes, give it a try...
- GnuTzu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1While this Wikio beta looks really nice, I don't see why the title of this post had to take a jab at Digg. If Digg really needs to change, then a little healthy competition will do just fine. The title could have been a little more polite. (Geesh, I'm beginning to sound like Miss Manners.)
