5 hours left = ignore your family and everything else.... - cawpin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2How about learning English first.
- pt4117, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That only takes 5 minutes.
- saleem, on 10/10/2007, -0/+58Get off digg.
- arbiterxero, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Go Uberman. Enough said.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uberman's_sleep_schedule- tidu, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2KRAMER: Yeah, well, turns out that the master slept only twenty minutes every three hours. Now, that works out to two and a half extra days, that I'm awake per week, every week. Which means, if I live to be eighty, I will have lived the equivalent of a hundred and five years.
JERRY: Just imagine how much more you'll accomplish.
KRAMER: Oh, I got a lot of things in the hopper, buddy. - Toad008, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I can't support this enough. I'm currently on day 130 of a similar sleep schedule, the Everyman Sleep Schedule, and I recommend it to anyone who can make it work with their lifestyle.
It generates about 4 hours of extra time a day, and I think it's less invasive on normal life than the Uberman.

- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -2/+35Save about 5 hours a day? Yeah ***** right. I wake up at 6:20 to get ready for work. I start work at 8, end at 5, get home around 5:45. The recommended amount of sleep to get is 7 - 8 hours, so that leaves me with about 5 hours of free time with sleep and work aside.
I still need time to eat, *****, shave, shower, feed my dog, run errands, and then get some time to myself.- 31073, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19you could eat and ***** AT WORK. there i just saved you about an hour.
- sp1keNARF, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9agreed. always ***** at work.
- nodonoug, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Plus, it saves you from having to clean your bathroom or (God forbid) unclog the toilet.
- Alphateam, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Save on TP and Water costs too.
- Alphateam, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Confucius say man who takes 30 minutes to ***** goes in 25 too early.
- jrizzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1or he took the hand lotion in with him...
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No way am I going to ***** at work. First of all, I can't hold my breath for that long, and I hate hearing other people *****. Second, I don't want to sit on people's piss (We have those paper covers, but it still soaks up).
And eat at work? I eat lunch on my lunch break, but I want to eat a real home cooked meal when I get home.
- sp1keNARF, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9agreed. always ***** at work.
- cygnus2112, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6It takes you an hour to eat and *****? Man.. you have digestive issues.
- xenixninja, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Well. That is how it is being a grown up. Don't like it? Change it and stop complaining.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Yes, I'll change it. I'll go to my local congressman and demand that she/he cuts the full-time schedule from 8 hours, to 6. That'll work.
And just because I have to work 8 hours doesn't mean I shouldn't complain about it. What a douche bag. I can't do anything about it, but deal with it, and complain every now and then. That's about as stupid as someone saying "If you don't like this country, then you can get out!"
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Yes, I'll change it. I'll go to my local congressman and demand that she/he cuts the full-time schedule from 8 hours, to 6. That'll work.
- KyleYankan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I usually eat in the *****. Out with the old, in with the new I say.
- 31073, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19you could eat and ***** AT WORK. there i just saved you about an hour.
- dunderballer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21whoops, just wasted some time on garbage content.
- mrjeffery, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4Or just turn off your pc.
- NeoMatrixJR, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0STFU!!!! That's Heresy here!
- jrizzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4It turns OFF too!? Computers are awesome.
- jhourcle, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19Save an hour by combining exercising and reading? I thought this was for geeks -- I'd say less than 5% of the geeks I know take time out of their schedule to exercise. And I don't think any of them do it for an hour a day.
I've also done the 7a-3pm schedule. Yes, you miss traffic, and save some time from that. However, combine it with a manager who keeps calling 4pm meetings and requires you to go, and it just leaves you more stressed out, which keeps you from getting a good night's sleep.
I'd suggest you instead save 3-5 minutes, and skip this article. Or, as Saleem has pointed out -- if you really cared about saving time, why are you wasting it on Digg?- cygnus2112, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Because wasting time at work is normal. Wasting personal time is unthinkable!
- Buckiller, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1there are different types of geeks....
You mean internet/computer geeks dont take time to exercise?
- nesagwa, on 10/10/2007, -2/+36Then, not Than.
- spamly, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Then != Than (Insert virtual kick to the shorts)

- effeng, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11"Than"... it's "THEN"... literacy wherefore art thou?
- spamly, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6You are so six minutes ago...
- jittery1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0"Wherefore art thou" means "Why". As in, "Romeo, WHY do you have to be from a rival family?"
Where is literacy, indeed.
- mewyn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Ok, I can understand the usual there, their, they're mistakes because they are all homonyms, but than and then are two totally different sounding words!
By the way, buried because of both bad grammar and utterly useless content.- teh_techie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1there their and they're are completely different words too! Not just than and then.
The word than has some quantitative words around it, like (higher than, less than, better than, sexier than... etc)- hfactor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1But they are not different *sounding*, so that at least leaves an excuse for people who don´t ever read or write.
- dearsweetbriar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0you pronounce their and they're with the same inflection?
Not only is your grammar wrong, you seem to have a mild speech impediment. You should get that checked out.
- dearsweetbriar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0you pronounce their and they're with the same inflection?
- hfactor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1But they are not different *sounding*, so that at least leaves an excuse for people who don´t ever read or write.

- akatherder, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Was that a joke? That was worthless.
- BitBucket, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Hey Benis. You should realized that bad grammar (then vs. than) hurts your credibility. If you can't right a correct headline for a digg submission, then you're not getting my attention.
- DivineLackey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Looks like Benis got your attention, you're here.
- Kelphead, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Hey BitBucket. You should realize that bad grammar (right vs. write) hurts your credibility. Realized? Come on, really?
- rayraym0fucka, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You're totally write.
- exomni, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Article sucks.
- darkkosmos, on 10/10/2007, -4/+0Slow and Dead, get the hell of digg until you get a good server!
- OutThisLife, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I can't believe I misclicked and dugg this. Time to undigg and bury -.-
- worldsbestgamer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Lame info. Lame blog.
- arctic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0http://www.duggmirror.com
- FredFredrickson, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Buried. "Than" != "Then"
- Rice, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I do all of this stuff already! Jesus!
- DJNewStyle, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I can save time by not clicking on stories posted by users who use "than" instead of "then"
- DCstewieG, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Unfortunately you lost way more time commenting about how you can save time.
- elvisripley, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I did that for a while and it sucked for a few days then it started to work great. I felt like I had more energy than normal and a clearer mind while at the same time feeling like I was in a sort of dream state. It was pretty awesome. If you can fit it into your life style then go for it. I couldn't keep it going, too many conflicts. Also, if you sleep every 4 hours and miss one of your naps it isn't like you have been awake for 8 hours it is more like you have been awake for 2 days so you need to get your naps in on time until you really get the hang of it. I hear it takes about a month.
- HonoredMule, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Debug" your commute...riiight. Just as soon as I'm done "optimizing" these software glitches.
- bobartig, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I used to get up at 4 AM and go to sleep around 9 in high school. It was the only way I could get enough homework time in between a schedule full of AP classes, 3 sports, and a few extracurriculars. Working during the wee morning hours is a lot more productive if you're prone to distractions otherwise.
What really threw off my schedule was when I would go hang out with friends on the weekend, and get to sleep around 2 am. I'd be thinking about how I'd usually be getting up in a couple hours o.O - Titan1x77, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0If your a geek, then most likely you all ready Tivo any shows you may watch, you prob have a mp3 player of some sorts and you listen to podcasts while you do anything else...This didn't help me, I knew about all of this all ready.
Now if it wasn't geared towards geeks, then maybe someone would of learned something.
BTW.. getting up 3 hours earlier doesnt save anytime if you are allready beating the rush hour traffic
