- handheldchimp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Me and my dad had a page up on three of our computers in the house and amazon just now loaded for us...sold out *sniffles*
- tdawson2012, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Me and my 2 brothers planned on this for a week with no real expectation of getting one....and sure enough, we didn't. Like most people are reporting, the reload time was in the minutes. Oh well.
- matt0ne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I tried and got nada! I didn't even get a refresh until 11:13am!!
Would be interested to know where the winners were located! - duhblow7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I also had two computers on this page. I was synced with time.gov. I posted on the amazon forum to ensure my clock was exact. One of my computers was able to load the page in 30 seconds right at 11 PST while the other one took 3 minutes. We were both reloading using all three amazon A records:
amazon.com. 50 IN A 72.21.206.5
amazon.com. 50 IN A 72.21.210.11
amazon.com. 50 IN A 207.171.166.102
I had a pageload at about 11:00:35. It was already sold out. I didn't get the stupid question. Let's see if *ANYBODY* got one?
anyone? bueller?
I call shenanigans!!!!! - Roedran, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Believe it or not, I didn't have much trouble getting the page to load, and went through the process very smoothly. I know many folks had loading issues, but I didn't. Smooth as silk. But, sadly, it only took seconds for 1,000 to get gone. That's how it goes.
- GaiaUnlimited, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why did Amazon not expect this to happen? If it were $100 PS3s, I bet the website would have been attacked. There is no way anyone could have purchased that Xbox 360 with that much traffic.
- octopi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow, 7 seconds. It took me 7mins to reload Amazon due to the servers:

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why is it hard to believe for people that there were only 1000 of these things, and most likely MILLIONS of people trying to get one. it's like the lottery, you didn't win, suck it up, move on and get over it. Anyone that thinks this was a fraud just needs to stfu.
- sherbetboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I tried to get one but was stuck at "loading" for 10 minutes. Oh well, at least I have the wii to entertain me until i can get enough for a 360.
- Enoch9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't believe you - i don't believe anyone could load the page TWICE within SEVEN seconds.
No digg.
