It was a hater named axxole who like others believe axxo re-encode's scene group releases without giving them credit. axxole cited PUKKA's NEXT release with it's audio sync and saturation problems as the reason why axxo's NEXT release had the exact same problems. Good job TPB, props to them. aXXo was good at making it easier to find higher quality videos, but I think this rift will only make TPB stronger. It won't be long before other people in TPB's community step up to try and fill aXXo's shoes there and the only ones that beneift from that is everyone.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing (it's great) but he isn't some semi-torrent-god like he is made out to be.

- xYike, on 11/08/2007, -7/+24The original link mentions that the downloading community should be pointing the finger at those who left the comments? aXXo did not remove torrents because of the comments, aXXo removed torrends because LACK OF SUPPORT from TPB. It has nothing to do with the comments and everything to do with not being supported by TPB. It isn't hard for someone to browser to mininova or one of the many other places aXXo is made available, I think the downloaders will survive.

I did not see any of the comments. I guess going to all of that work and getting slammed for it with obvious lies, they felt TPB should have done something to help one of their top uploaders. *shrug*

If he is repackaging other people's stuff, so what? Its not Axxo's fault that they suck at branding themselves. I'm familiar enough with Axxo and what releases enough to search specifically for his releases. I can't say the same about other release groups for various reasons.

Deleting comments because they hurt aXXo's feelings or were untrue would violate the whole point of TPB. If this is indeed the background story, aXXo should have just sucked it up. Free speech isn't just for people you like, it's for everybody, even the MPAA. Until you understand why protecting the speech of your worst enemy is fundamental then you won't understand TPB, and you really are just a cheap-ass thief instead of a principled person trying to change the system. If this is not the story, this thread is based on a faulty premise to begin with.

I feel for the punters but aXXo needs to go down for ripping off the scene. I hope they find out who he is and cut his topsite access and expell him from the scene for good.
- BigBrother87, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3It's good to see the aXXo name and know it will fit on a CD, and I've never seen anything other than great quality. And I'm pretty sure I'd rather watch DVD quality that downloads in 30 minutes instead of something slightly better (still compressed) that will take 3 or 4 hours to get. If you really want HD, you should do it and share. Otherwise, let him do what he does best. I just removed TPB from my favorites.
