- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1A comet (denoted by ☄) is a small body in the solar system that orbits the sun and (at least occasionally) exhibits a coma (or atmosphere) and/or a tail.
A meteor is the visible path of a meteoroid that enters the Earth's (or another body's) atmosphere.
If you don't know the difference, which is general knowledge even among 8 year olds, then may God have mercy on your soul. - ozydingo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Maybe old, i didn't know about it. Would have dugg if it weren't for the amazing stupidity of the submitter. As pointed out; it was not a comet, it didnt' hit anything, and it's spelled Australia. That's basically it.
- ozydingo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@scuba: is "spelt" really correct? i KNEW i wasn't wrong when my 8th grade social studies teacher criticized me for calling him on a spelling error, writing "you spelt ..... wrong!" myself (I grew up in Australia from ages 6-10, but I guess here in the states we use "spelled")
