- master_of_fm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"missed me by about 3 miles, o yeah 127.0.0.1 is a loop back address" - skeet07
duh, it was meant as a joke
digg.com is now home of the "sooper n00b". what might you ask is a "sooper n00b"? a "sooper n00b" is someone that posts duplicate stories on digg.com without actually clicking on any of the "duplicate stories found" link. the "sooper n00b" also will proclaim something "FAKE!!!" without even bothering to take two seconds to google something to check validlity or doesnt have the mental capacity to understand the topic at hand. lastly the "sooper n00b" diggs a story and will post a comments without viewing the article first and is most likely post in the comments something that has been posted previously and offers no new insight.
since its introduction to digg.com the "sooper n00b" has spread like wildfire destroying this once usefull site with lame and duplicate stories at an alarming rate. there is no hope in erradicating the "sooper n00b" from digg.com anytime soon. - moogoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3OMGWTFAJAX DIGG+++++

http://www.seomoz.org/ip2loc/lookup.php?lookup_ip=72.14.207.104 - mikeazorin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Wow, AJAX and Google Maps in one link. Now if only it was an AJAX-Powered IP Locator of all Apple and Google Employees getting ready for the anhilation of Slashdot.
- chandler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Meh, it managed to pull up my house address instead of my school's address. (and I'm at school)
- balazs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"this thing was about 10 miles off....weak"
Dude, do you know how this even works. It finds your ISP's address. You are lame - Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, I know where the center is here in Fresno, it got the general area right by about 2-3 miles, but it did change the location every time i pushed enter on the same address.
- jo42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not even close. Missed the IP in a Tier 1 data centre in Miami by about 2000 miles.
--digg; - diggidydawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0holy crap, really sweet. +digg!

Then do NOT go to my website. Ill know your router IP, your gateway IP, and your internal machine IP just by visiting my site - and that is just a script-kiddie thing I do for fun - nothing spectacular. Of curse, you would have to enable Java for it to work. - reets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0if you enter the same IP you get a different result each time, still kinda cool though. was only about 4-5 KM off me
- BT-Wang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0too bad there isn't a domain name lookup feature built in.
- klemperer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I did a similar work before.
http://www.blueforge.org/map
It works more precisely for some areas. - Evari, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0what a load of rubbish, it was almost 200 miles out for me, on the other side of England. I think it can figure out your country/state but then it just guesses
- marreka, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmmm... A search for an IP in my University's IP range (which is located in Waterloo, Ontario) takes me to Waterloo, Quebec. hahaha.
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol, says I live on the other side of the province. You'll never catch me >:D
- count_z, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The page only lists whatever is in your DNS location record for your ISP. So if it's inaccurate (they never updated it, or have since merged with another group), you're not going to get a very accurate look-up.
Don't hate the player, hate the game. - UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0uhhh i just entered two totally different random IPs and both were located adjacent to Wichita, Kansas, nearly the same spot. WTH!!!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0only a couple Km off from me...... scary sh*t
- sotloo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool but no trace route
- compu73rg33k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+04 miles off for me. Pretty damn creepy though.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0About 20 miles off.
Not bad... not bad at all. - linuxnut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No dig, way off
- ScottDaMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reports my California IP as in Kansas. LOL
- farkninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mine thinks I'm the middle of a cemetery a couple miles from my house. Creepy.
- roder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0what's up with the nasy compression on those images???
- jielias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0not very acurate. I tried a few different IP addresses. One of them was about 25 miles off. kind of cool though
- vokiel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tried the same IP over and over and it seems to be roaming.. in the middle of a forest in OHIO. Somehow i don't think my server is over there. Lots of fun thanks, but yeah you'll have to do better than this to impress me.
- ilikedonkeykong, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So that's why I keep getting emails about hot dead hookers in lake Michigan.
- matsiescruff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ooh, i like this. i can use it to locate the people who flamed me!
- TailGater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WTF is this for? Why is it on the frontpage.
Lame *****. - bemaniso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yea sorta missed my spot, only by placing my location across the country, no biggee
- gr8fuldane, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hmmm... only missed me by about 140 miles. Lame. Just use an ISP far from home.
- minigig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The reason that the map is off cause that is were is were you isp is
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wrong!
No digg.
lol @ skeet07 for his lack of sense of humor. - cwcentral, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder who has an IP of 4.1.1.1 (North of Denver).
- gullevek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice, guessed the right country, but the location is still off by ~100km
- slack31337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no good apparently i am in manitoba :P
- gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I I didnt know I lived in ohio..........=-|
- shane1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it put me in the middle of the river that runs threw my town....i didn't know i was running a water cooled box
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice. I must be in the middle of Lake Michigan.
- Jozer99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not completely accurate. It gets you to about a 10 mile radius, which is pretty good. I tried two IP addresses of places I know. One is in a large city, the AJAX program got the city right, but in the wrong neighborhood, several miles away. The other IP I tried belongs to a house in rural suburbs. I tried this one several times, and it gave me several different locations, but all were in the town next to the right one, about 6 miles away.
- LooterMcBeer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mine was on some train tracks 200 miles away........... WTF
- geeoye, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pretty accurate!! I am not worried about RIAA now
- condorhauck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There should be a "look me up" option that searches the requesting IP
- vokiel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like the fact that it doesn't work for squat.
- vokiel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Woa started clicking randomly in the page.. it works O.0
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0more than 2000km off...no digg.
