- isny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Imagine when they combine the power of AJAX and SOAP!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If you dont wanna go thru the whole registering crap, heres a link to the actual download.
http://www.paspagebuilder.com/downloads/sitecreator-0.9.8.zip - spiralhead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Any peice of crap with the word AJAX in the title will attract a minimum of $1 million in VC funding so it's not hard to see why there are so many god damn AJAX-related headlines and half-assed frameworks being released.
The next .com bust will be fuled by the realization that javascript is a horribly inept programming language. All legacy apps will have to be re-written in whatever framework/language that replaces this steeming turd.
Ultimately, client-side languages will have access to local hardware and web apps will become more and more like desktop apps until, eventually the OS and the browser are essentially the same thing. - fenzo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2updated direct link.

*gasp* Throw some MRCLEAN in there, and you could be on the verge of some of the 'cleanest' designs in the world. HA HA I MADE CLEANER-BASED HUMOR!!!! - S!L3N7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I Love the way they've used AJAX to create such a site. But this could bring a new wave of lame websites to the world.
- MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is going to kill us web designers and developers.
- plewicki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Its much more than just an home page builder. Its PHP based and execute in realtime all your PHP scripts and javascript when your editing the page.
You can also build database driven web applications.
Its dream-weaver combined with contribute just from a web browser. - seaner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Greate idea but this specific one isn't that great. The good thing about this project is that it will open the door to many other companies to create the next "mini Dreamweaver in a browser".
- tomhudson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1From the site:
"Any elements in a web page - text, pictures, forms and even web applications - can be dragged around and positioned exactly where your customers want them to be. They only need to open their web browsers, log on to your website and start using it. It is that easy."
That's all we need - another, even easier way for hosting companies to encourage people who have no understanding of the interaction of css and html, or proper database design, to bludgeon us with more brochureware sites. - scootdown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0None aof teh DEMOs are working. Guess we crashed their server?
- scootdown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ugh, did you see those templates though?!
- indiefan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is really nice. i could really use a great opportunity like this. i should get your phone number so we can discuss this exciting offer further.
i highly doubt some of these people are for real. - Mysticcal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tripod hosting did this a couple of years ago.
- CapTech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is the thing that teachers and students could use to create sites quickly and easily. As a tech coordinator at a high school, teachers want it easy and now... no having to sit down and learn some application so they can get their content out on the web...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's getting clichéd to say "AJAX==auto-digg" already, lol.
This was the 2nd-most confusing website I've ever used. I couldn't get anything to work well (Firefox 1.5). - markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorry to sound like a total idiot but I still have no clue what AJAX is. Is it like a new web programming code or something?
- minigorilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.dragdropsitecreator.com/new_download_drag_drop_site_creator.php?x=1
- wonderboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So this could potentially stop me from having to learn php. I haven't looked close at it yet but if that is so, w00t.
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is he French?
- JRMillion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0interesting idea, but would probably result in some of the worst websites ever conceived by man :)
- rimco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, that site made my head hurt... worst interface I think I've ever see.
- JRMillion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Plus, I think AJAX is cool, and I plan to get into it and use it were I think it should be used. However, just because you CAN use AJAX, doesnt mean you SHOULD use AJAX.
- masterofshadows, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am so sick and tired of hearing about "this" and "that" being ajaxified, how about we ajaxify (with AJAX bleach) some of your heads, maybe we can scrub all the stupid out.
- aforonda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Word, it's crap in firefox, f it.
- bowiestyle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is really cool. My clients could use this.
- thenorwegian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0very nice. demo's cool, try it out. it's free, why not
- SvobodaIT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The idea sounds promising. I am liking what AJAX has to offer.
- esteban, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow -- that was awful. Nice idea, poorly implemented.
- onishenko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0anyone know of something similar that they prefer?
- MasterDwarf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Believe it or not, I dont think they can make interfaces intuitive enough for my brother-in-law. If he could do it then anyone can. I can see this being too hard for him to understand. He still likes his 286 w/DOS!
I do think its cool though lame for more savvy users. - Paradox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good idea, but bad execution.
- timmyt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Sorry to sound like a total idiot but I still have no clue what AJAX is. Is it like a new web programming code or something?" (markperia)
Found the definition of AJAX for you. Google says:
AJAX: AJAX or Asynchronous JavaScript and XML is a term describing a web development technique for creating interactive web applications using a combination of: * HTML (or XHTML) and Cascading Style Sheets for presenting information* Document Object Model, JavaScript to dynamically display and interact with the information presented* XML, XSLT and the XMLHttpRequest object to interchange and manipulate data asynchronously with the web server (although AJAX applications can use other technologies. - brilliant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0286?
You're kidding right? - fizzeh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Why do people always digg AJAX!?? Also this pos dosent even work good."
Well, your grammar doesn't work WELL. - Breadstick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very slick, but still a little buggy. A lot of the page elements were offset after inserting a radio button.
- AnusBreaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0does not work correctly in firefox
that ***** cant render what i created properly - dpk87, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is very cool, however I'm sure the code its produces for the websites you build is horrendous. I wasn't able to ever get a look at the final source code it outputs though.
- wonderboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't know how to get this to work.
- dude3609, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://digg.com/links/Taht_ub0r_ajaxx_page_mak0r
-xsploited teh site - plewicki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The WebGUI doesn't give me as much freedom, I can only drag and drop on place holders defined by the layout.
- crpietschmann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apparently it's hasn't been tested very well.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0script.aculo.us does the same, imho better
- Paradox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This puts even more reason to just learn the languages people. I hate most WYSIWYGs, and this is the worst ever made.
- Xopl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, it's cool... I was considering making one for just forms. But I think the bottom line is, if you want a drag and drop site builder or form builder, that's what Dreamweaver is for. It's more of a cool demo than a valid product.
- faux323, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WebGUI has been doing this for years.
- roosteronacid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The site is pretty messed up when viewed with FF, but nice idea..
- kyoshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was kinda looking for something like this for my site. Not like I need it. It's just that the people that I "persuaded" to help me on the site are HTML-morons.
- etx313, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anything self proclaimed to be "breathtaking" is auto-awsome.
