AI composes beautiful music, sounds like Bach, Chopin
unc.edu — In "Gödel, Escher, Bach", Hofstadter asked, "Will a computer program ever write beautiful music?" Now he lectures about Cope's program, Experiments in Musical Intelligence (EMI), which writes classical music in the style of famous composers. At one lecture, the faculty at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester mistook EMI for genuine Chopin.
