- AManWithNoName, on 04/28/2008, -0/+28Prize Rebel sounds kinda scammy to me.
- louiebaur, on 04/28/2008, -1/+23Free Rice looks like something we are going to need
- lhbaker, on 04/28/2008, -2/+14The description of Sparknotes translating Shakespeare is pretty funny. I asked a guy a Blockbuster once where I could find Hamlet, and he suggested I check the 'foreign languages' section. I should get some kind of credit for not slapping the ***** out of him.
- 4tygames, on 04/28/2008, -0/+10The link for Prize Rebel is a referral link :/
Just use: http://www.prizerebel.com - lukas88, on 04/28/2008, -2/+11The link goes to his referral page, so he gets a kickback for everyone who signs up. It is the internet's version of a pyramid scheme.
It wouldn't be so bad if he was up front about it but he tries to play it off like it is some amazing thing and that is the only reason why it is in the list. yeah... - AManWithNoName, on 04/28/2008, -2/+10FTA: "Think you're smart? Think you're smart enough to feed hungry children?"
So if we're stupid, kids starve? Well, that's a bit harsh. - Patrickdnj, on 04/28/2008, -1/+8I love freerice.............especially when I reached 3000! But I then got bummed out when I learned about 7000 grains of rice are in just one uncooked cup! Hey...........every bit counts!
- inactive, on 04/28/2008, -2/+8"Outrageously handy?" How about "somewhat handy?"
- ravan46, on 04/28/2008, -1/+6So it is...
webupon just got added to my list of sites to not bother visiting. - DraggingTheLake, on 04/28/2008, -0/+5I heard for every question you get wrong, they take 30 grains away from a starving child.
- BTraina, on 04/28/2008, -1/+6Im actually pretty sure he made the list just for the referral link.
- retzed, on 04/28/2008, -0/+4I played that thing for over an hour and when I submitted my score the servers couldn't handle it and some starving African missed out on 17000 grains of rice!
- stupidverizon, on 04/28/2008, -0/+4Watch out rofl? Watch out for what? A hidden agenda which might break your computer?
- PrimoTurbo, on 04/28/2008, -1/+5There is a referral link from Prize Rebel, watch out.
- Patrickdnj, on 04/28/2008, -1/+4Wow........I use Prize rebel for all the useless crap I want (you can get anything you want from amazon also) and believe me, it's not a scam........... It definitely belongs on this list!
- lilbugleboy09, on 04/28/2008, -1/+4Prize Rebel isn't a scam, just give them a bugmenot email to avoid spam.
- bossm4n, on 04/28/2008, -1/+4FTA - "Perhaps the best free music site ever. No download is required, and a wide variety of music is readily available. If you can't really decide what to listen to, start a smart radio based on some of your favorite songs. Deezer will play songs similar to the ones you chose."
Sounds like a total ripoff of Pandora. - Bossman1086, on 04/28/2008, -1/+4Yeah, I was going to make a comment about that, too. Be weary about it. If you want to try the site, just use the regular link: prizerebel.com.
- smacksaw, on 04/28/2008, -2/+4SpyPig is pretty sketchy as well.
- Moegopher, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2I am tempted to think the whole list was made purely for Prize Rebel. I'd bury but some of the other sites are indeed useful.
- ravan46, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2http://www.thedailyplate.com has the best calorie tracker, including exercising.
- Eslamicolt3, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2Iono about the link thing, but what they're doing on the site isn't comparative to a pyramid scheme. It's really just a question of how much time do you want to invest on taking all those surveys.
- Ebue1, on 04/28/2008, -1/+3Dugg for Jesus' comment.
- sjbdallas, on 04/28/2008, -1/+3Yeah, why don't they just put a webcam in some 3rd world village where you can see people dieing as you fail to answer questions.
- blahtastic, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2Not that you aren't stupid if you cant figure out regular Shakespeare, if you have to quickly read one you're not familiar with those sparknotes translation books are insanely helpful. Get through them about twice as fast, with all the plot and everything. Quotes you'll still be screwed with though.
Oh, and who the hell doesn't know about sparknotes.com? - theaceoffire, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2You didn't earn any rice.
- asssa3000, on 04/28/2008, -1/+3You just lost me because of the last one. Prize Rebel is just another marketing *****. There are 1000's this kind of sites. Why the hell did you put it up there and spoiled a whole list.
- slayernine, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2and LastFM is still better IMO
- Oppslagsverk, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2Outrageously bookmarked
- Shadowgamers, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Oh hey! A website that I can read books online for fre- oh wait no it's only summaries. Looks like I'm going back to the library.
- piratearggghhh, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Stay away from Zombie Wars in Kongregate - that game is seriously addicting.
- sil3ntmac, on 04/28/2008, -3/+4sparknotes + pinkmonkey and you should be good for any test
- inactive, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1interestingly enough, webupon.com is not on this list.
- jggube, on 04/28/2008, -5/+6This is an excellent list! I've never heard of Deezer, I just use last.fm.
- mikkee07, on 04/28/2008, -3/+4Sparknotes looks really useful for me.
- str1fe, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Not sure why you're getting dugg down, those two websites got me through high school
- WaddleDee, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Forget that voice mail thinggy.
Get YouMail.com! Does all that and more, and you can use it on your current mobile number. - mithrasinvictus, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Think you're smart enough to figure out how long it will take take to generate 1 normal portion of rice?
How about the percentage of the ad revenue that actually gets spent on aid? - TH3W1R3D, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Maybe earlier it was linked to his referral but now atleast it is only linked to the website.
- mithrasinvictus, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1any decent email client won't load the images anyway.
- DragonFear0, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Another person who thinks it's a referral link? If you right click the link, and click Properties, a window opens up with a link to www.prizerebel.com. I see no referral link in that.
- DragonFear0, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1I actually think PrizeRebel is useful. As for 1000's of other sites like PrizeRebel, you're going to need to tell me them, if they work just as well as PrizeRebel :D
- GumdoMike, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Could the screen shots be any bigger?
- lhbaker, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Me. Not that I didn't use Cliffnotes, though, but it wasn't on the Internet yet.
- AgentVladimir, on 04/28/2008, -1/+1Somehow the testimonials on Prize Rebel with people's first name and their hand written notes have convinced me that it's totally legitimate and definitely a good idea.
- rsjr14, on 04/28/2008, -0/+0Deezer seems like a nice site, first time ive heard of it and sadly im listening to Britney Spears - Piece of me, something i wouldnt pay for however actually enjoying it.....
- Wismerhill, on 04/28/2008, -0/+0Too bad the sound quality is so low.
- DragonFear0, on 04/28/2008, -0/+0www.prizerebel.com is a referral link?
- MississippiLife, on 04/28/2008, -2/+2Dude, you are totally right. Sometimes humor doesn't work. Thanks for pointing that out.
- DragonFear0, on 04/28/2008, -0/+0Umm. No it's not. The only referral link is in the youtube video, which the author states is not his referral link.
