It tracks 5 different languages. Currently English speakers tweet most about being happy. For whatever reason david archuleta is making tweeters happy right now. It's also now tracking rumors.
Twitter's main value is keeping up realtime with what people care about right now. The question is whether Twitter is ahead of or behind the curve. If it's ahead of the curve you can take what people are getting emotional about and start writing blog entries about it to get hits. If it's behind the curve then the internet is already saturated with content related to those topics. - eadnams, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2well put. I think of Twitter as part of "web 2.5". If web 2.0 is the "social web", then 2.5 is the "real time social web". There are some interesting uses coming out of the platform that I don't think anyone anticipated. I'm excited to see where it goes, regardless of the outcome. It's fascinating to watch the internet evolve.
