webware.com — I spent part of today at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, CA talking to some of the folks behind Google Docs & Spreadsheets, part of Google's Web-based office suite. One of the things I was itching to know about were some of their favorite features that often don't get the limelight, or that people simply didn't know about.

    1. Live lookup via Google and Google Finance.
    2. Google search inside a spreadsheet. (correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that an alternate implementation of #1?)
    3. Color-coded live comments.
    4. Revisioning.
    5. There are many copies. And they have a plan.

    The only slightly interesting one was #1.

    Plus it can be way too slow for what its worth.
