- monkeycatDx, on 10/11/2007, -3/+22Save your time the people at CNN didn't put Digg on this list...Bastards!
- RabidFurby, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17There are 50 websites?
- andsix, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13These websites are terrible
- titlesaysitall, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10THE TITLE DOES NOT ***** SAY IT ALL.
- knuvue, on 12/05/2007, -0/+10Obviously not the best "looking" websites....wow.

Title DOES NOT say it all. - lordtyros, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Does the title say it all?
- joemofo214, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5i know, watch next year vh1 will already have "i love the 00's" even though itll be only 08
- jjb123, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I personally think wotartist sucks, the massive list of stuff once you select your region is annoying.
- EnderMB, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Digg has plummeted in quality, what with constant iPhone stories, user comments getting out of hand, the key incident, Ron Paul, and more. I don't care about getting buried alive either. Digg is a laughing stock on the Internet amongst other social news sites like Reddit and Newsvine, all touted to be the natural successor to Digg. I wouldn't want to see Digg become the new Yahoo.
- pronouncable, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4"And below the title"
Ouch, contradiction. - waynehoggett, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Agreed, some of the designs are terrible...
- x00x, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Thanks for the picli.com link. It's a wonderful site.
- noots, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5i refuse to click 50 times, that's reserved for googlefests and porn galleries.
- operator99, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3gag - whoever made up this list should have their internet tubes tied.
- oo7akbnd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Digg's on their "25 SitesWe Can't Live Without" though...
http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1638266_1638253_1638225,00.html - TheWretched, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It's not the best of 2007 when it's barely been over a week in July.
Next week they'll have the best sites of 2008! - revital9, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yo. 2007 ain't even over yet.
- duuk2k2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I must live under a rock, I don't use any of them and haven't even heard of most.
- ChileanGoD, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32007 is not over yet.

- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2From the page about PaperToys.com:
"Can't keep your kid's nose out of his Nintendo DS? You might tempt him to give the video games a rest with a paper model from Paper Toys."
And how exactly is a kid making crap out of paper better than a kid playing with his DS? Personally I've had to do more puzzle-solving with my Game Boy/DS games than I ever did while following step-by-step instructions to create a bug out of paper as a kid. Lame. - crushfan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2What are these articles with NEXT button supposed to mean anyway? Well, since it's not a paper magazine, I think it's just a waste of the for the users. Hell I know they do this for more ads to be viewed but it's just a lack of readability.
- BlackholeStorm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Buried for "the title says it all"

Digg.com = 6th of 25! :)
"The leader in social news, where users determine what's important and interesting by submitting it, "digging" it and posting a comment. Click "Top in 24 Hours" to see the most popular articles, blog posts and other Web pages of the day. In recent months the site has expanded beyond tech news, adding separate sections for Science, World & Business, Sports, Entertainment and Gaming. Digg Labs continues to roll out new and visually interesting ways to view the links and find out immediately what's hot (and what's not). On BigSpy, stories pop up at the top each time they get another digg, the moment they get it. The bigger and bolder the headline, the higher the digg count. Arc, meanwhile, arranges stories in a circle; mouse over a piece of the pie to preview the link." - FelixdaaHack, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1~ bookmark ~
- Error601, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Pretty bad when the best sites list requires flash.
- wassim2k, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Wow, I've never heard of the top 9.
- gamesector, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3I have to click 'next' for every single site? ***** this Time, at least give me 5 on one page you money grabbing bastards. The 'complete list' link was ***** too, usability anyone?
- quacker912, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3No digg...?
- jtb4, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1*****. Hate it. Won't scroll right in Camino.
- pveltrent, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1So, apparently "Time in partnership with CNN" are the absolute freaking final say in what makes a good web site. What a crap article.
- Slick50, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This is frontpaged again right now with a dupe by someone who also Dugg this... ?
- tom6a, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Last year peer to peer lending site Prosper was Time’s #1 website of the year. This year online bank ING made the list. As someone who is somewhat familiar with Prosper (I write a blog for Prosper lenders) I wasn’t too surprised that it made the list in 2006. It’s an innovative idea – Prosper match borrowers who want to pay less than bank or credit card interest rates on loans with lenders who want to earn more than bank savings account or CD interest rates on their investments. Facebook’s Lending Club is a new competitor. I was surprised that ING made the list. Is this idea so new and innovative that it is one of the best websites of the year? More of my thoughts:
50 best websites of 2007 – ING replaces Prosper
http://prosperlending.blogspot.com/2007/07/50-best-websites-of-2007-ing-replaces.html - EnderMB, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Perhaps, but there's very little keeping people here now. News is a thing of the past here, and the majority of the stories on this website are either from the same users, or about the iPhone/Ron Paul. Digg is as good as dead when other networks are thriving, especially as it's run by a guy who praises his users for revolting and wrecking his website.
- djbobhoskins, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1http://www.picli.com shud have made it
- EnderMB, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Just noticed #30.Newsvine.com: Was once touted as the natural successor to Digg because of its citizen journalism, friendly community, and continuous new features.
Ouch! If Time are converting from Digg to Newsvine, then I think there's something to worry about for Kevin Rose. Mike Davidson's already proven himself as an expert in his fields, and I can see it moving to great things pretty soon. - dualaudi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1THE BEST AT WHAT?
- darkane, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1INGDirect? Really? The website serves no other purpose than to sign people up for ING bank accounts, credit and loans. They site their reason for including it was the 8 minute application and high interest payout. It took me less than 1 minute to sign up for an account at Bank Of America, and last I checked, bank interest has nothing to do with websites.
I wonder how much Time got paid to put that in the list. - dixit13, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1useless......totally waste of time!
- mercprog, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2It's up for me.
- SeaMowse, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1@anagoge - when you click on the link, below the title of the article, there are 6 categories to choose from.
- clackerd, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1the link isn't necessary, the title says it all.
- PrettyLadyGrace, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0yeah, sadly i have to agree. Digg is starting to become very superficial.
- EnderMB, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3I'm not surprised Digg isn't on the list. As far as I'm concerned Digg is diving in quality and it's out of the top 50 now, especially with Reddit, Netscape, Newsvine and the rest nipping at its heels.
- SeaMowse, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I agree with you. Reading some of the comments in stories I've dug - it would seem that the average age of people leaving comments would be 14... maybe 15. Just like now - I left a few comments here - and was dug down or insulted. This is my article and I was responding and trying to give an explanation. For that, I get dug down and insulted? Give me a break. It's things like that that could possibly drive newcomers away from Digg. Freedom of speech is great, but respect comes with it.
- profOblivion, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Speaking of "save your time"... http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1633488_1639316,00.html
