- xerigen, on 08/16/2008, -0/+70The day I have to wear that bracelet on a plane is the day I take my last flight: to another country, to stay. Permanently.
- se1zure, on 08/16/2008, -9/+60WAR IS PEACE.
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY.
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.
lol. - btschul, on 08/16/2008, -18/+67"Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither." - Ben Franklin
- Evilblobs, on 08/16/2008, -9/+53No, Morgan Freeman refused to perform some ridiculous feat where each Cell Phone was turned into a sonar emitter and could magically render the entire scene on its tiny processor.
That part of the movie was beyond rediculous. - Lewiji, on 08/16/2008, -0/+43Comic.
Book. - inactive, on 08/16/2008, -3/+45I'm John McCain and I approve this message
- WalkerTXclocker, on 08/16/2008, -2/+42I don't think its so much support as apathy and laziness.

- howdareyou, on 08/16/2008, -1/+39Jesus Christ it's just an airplane; a glorified bus is all it is. Every once in a while some jackasses hijack them, but does that mean everyone should fork over their dignity and rights? You're going to make me wear a bracelet that tracks where I go and has the potential to shock me? Just because I want to ride on your flying greyhound? ***** OFF!
- centran, on 08/16/2008, -0/+34No... each Cell phone was turned into a sonar emitter that sent the what it heard back to a super computer to process.
What was ridiculous was the fact that cell phone speakers/microphones are that sensitive. Beyond that fact, the cellphone network is not designed to have every phone out there transmitting. - dedknedy, on 08/16/2008, -3/+32The sad thing about living in America is, it seems most of us are willing to trade in our freedom for this false sense of security. ***** airline security, at this point I'm ready to fly at my own risk. You have a better chance at winning the lottery, than being involved in a terrorist attack. The odds are so slim, yet this government has everyone so afraid by mentioning terrorism at every chance they get. They will use this instrument of fear until every American demands microchip implants in every newborn, and marshal law in every city across this country and we still wont be safe from terrorism. It's all a big pile of red, white, and blue *****. I'm more afraid of my government in the hands of power hungry businessmen, than I am of any terrorist organization in the world.
- mutants, on 08/17/2008, -1/+29I'd post a comment but I am afraid I'd be added to some "list."
- whoomp123, on 08/16/2008, -3/+27my big brother has m80s, bb guns, and porn in his tool box
- arkaycee, on 08/16/2008, -0/+22After hearing stories from people I know personally, and reading more in the newspapers about flight attendants too often playing the "you're being abusive and dangerous and will be escorted off the airplane and/or arrested if you don't shut up" card when all a person has done is show upsetness in their voice on a disagreement with said attendant (I'm not even talking about yelling either), I don't want flight attendants able to taser passengers at will.
- 883XL, on 08/16/2008, -0/+17"and will lose both"
- inactive, on 08/16/2008, -4/+20I can't think of anything intelligent to say either. So I might as well quote a box of pancake.
"Stack two-to-three pancakes on a microwave-safe plate and microwave on HIGH for 60 to 90 seconds." - blah247, on 08/16/2008, -1/+16Out of that entire movie... that was the part that bothered your sense of realism?
- johndi, on 08/16/2008, -3/+17It's a bit of all three. Go to an evangelical church on Independence Day and you'll see an astounding display of naked nationalism. The choir will break out in a nationalistic medley of the armed forces hymns, and that's just a warn-up. Then ask yourself why "Christians" who claim to be building a kingdom in heaven and are not of this world need a flag at all, yet alone one modeled after the design and colors of the American flag. There are plenty of rabid Christo-nationalists that are willing to fill big brother's toolbox. (I am not saying the majority of Christians fall under this description, but the ones who do are disproportionately loud).
- 9bpm9, on 08/16/2008, -1/+15I assume everyone burying this guy has never read 1984. That was the moto's of the 3 branches of the "government" in 1984.
- FluffyArmada, on 08/16/2008, -1/+13Why so serious?
- AeroMerde, on 08/16/2008, -2/+13Wrong.
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety" is the actual quote.
Furthermore, you really don't know what it means. People generally use the incorrect version you quoted instead of the real quote for a reason. - Toyan, on 08/16/2008, -1/+12I alays see lots of comments about how we're turning into a 1984 world. But yet I see no comments actually admitting that the 'terrorists' have now actually won.
The plan was for them to take away our freedoms. They've won. We're losing our freedom a little more every single day that passes. New laws go through, whether it be the 42 day holding a suspect thingy, to new 'toys' big brother can use. Ever since 9/11 the leaders of our counteries having been saying 'It's for your own good, we're doing to protect you'. And to me - that's just total *****.
I'd rather have the freedom I had 10 years ago, and take the risk that some psyco (spelling?) is gonna get on my bus and blow himself and us to kingdom come, than live in a society that will end up with those poxy tracking devices, constant surveillance, and everything else the world leaders have planned.
I'm glad I don't have kids, and I pity those that are having to grow up in this godawful society of ours. Here's hoping humanity makes a stand before it's too late no-one has the power to speak or think for themselves. I wish us luck! - tidu, on 08/16/2008, -0/+11Those keyword ads are so ***** annoying, bringing up popup boxes in front of the text
- Stonekeeper, on 08/16/2008, -0/+10When you can't trade without the verichip, I'll hand in my life pass.
- neocr0n, on 08/16/2008, -1/+11RFID, RFID, RFID & RFID, it must be stopped.
- eigenweasel, on 08/16/2008, -0/+9So what do you do with them for the first 59 seconds?
- fafnir314, on 08/16/2008, -4/+12I call ***** on you.
- inactive, on 08/16/2008, -0/+9"It is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” -Hermann Goering
- TexTurboesq, on 08/16/2008, -2/+11jerrycurley and santaliqueur = dittoheads.
- JudgeMonkey, on 08/16/2008, -0/+9The world would be full of people who blindly do what they are told. Sheep. Of course a world of sheep would be a great thing for other sheep. I'm very glad I'd be dead. If I wasn't it'd be mutton for dinner every night.
- tomarocco, on 08/16/2008, -0/+9Agreed. I trust a Denny's waitress more than I do a union flight attendant. Flight Attendants have become tools of the State: litigious goon squads with skirts.
- Bith8654, on 08/16/2008, -1/+8Thanks, someone had to.
- reparsed, on 08/16/2008, -0/+7The plan is to put GPS enabled RFID readers everywhere, maybe even in cellphones.
- jleems86, on 08/16/2008, -4/+11I call ***** on the GPS RFID verichip thing. you couldn;t possibly fit a GPS antenna inside sich a small item (they claim that verichip is not much bigger than a grain of rice)
- JudgeMonkey, on 08/16/2008, -2/+9I couldn't wait for someone to hack one though and release the means to shock people to the public. Annoying kid behind you? Shock the mother holding him, causing an involuntary muscle spasm. Smash Juniors face into the tray table!
- rjhomuth, on 08/16/2008, -0/+7And water balloons that are gooey and have a pointy tip.
- flashback99, on 08/16/2008, -1/+7its so funny that these people are so ferverent about symbols like the anthem, and acts like prayer, both of which achieve absolutely nothing.
- warriorscot, on 08/16/2008, -1/+7Yeah cause your gonna stop the tanks and heavily armed and armoured troops with your AR-15.
They are juts going to drive right over the top of you, AR-15 and all. - tomarocco, on 08/16/2008, -0/+6Except yuppie sellouts don't boycott. They gonna fly to that meeting no matter what.
- BoneheadFarker, on 08/16/2008, -3/+9The sentiment is still the same. And if it isn't, then please...enlighten us.
- PopcornDave, on 08/16/2008, -0/+6Xerigen you're going to have to fight the rest of us for that seat, believe me. The only problem now is where do you go? I used to think that maybe Europe was at least a bit better than here because you know you're getting shafted up front, not hidden most of the time like it is in the US, but with all the draconian ***** being instituted there it seems like the only safe places are the poles or inhabiting a new planet - neither of which is very feasible.
Not only that, with the new law in place that you forfeit 50% of your monetary worth upon leaving the country for good, it's almost looking like a cave somewhere is your only option. - BoneheadFarker, on 08/16/2008, -0/+5He keeps his porn in a toolbox and not on his computer like everyone else?
- meddle447, on 08/16/2008, -0/+5The wrist band probably would be RFID, and you could have sensors located in many locations in the airport, and on the plane to track the people.
Also, Garmin makes GPS for watches. - eigenweasel, on 08/16/2008, -1/+6As long as the public has an AR-15 in its toolbox, its big brother who should be scared.
- RobotBuddha, on 08/16/2008, -0/+5The funny thing is, I rode a greyhound last week and you'd never know anything bad had happened on them recently.
- inactive, on 08/16/2008, -0/+5you are limiting technology of the future... just like you laughed at your parents doing...
