- selmer, on 10/01/2008, -6/+62#26 - All this booty getting thrown at me. Seriously ladies, enough is enough.
- LucasVB, on 10/02/2008, -1/+37This has to be the most poorly written list I've seen on digg. How hard is it to write a ***** list?
- 2Deluxe, on 10/02/2008, -1/+33Updates and patches are now a *bad* thing? The flip side, if there were no updates he'd be bitching about *that*!
I dislike Apple products as much as the next sane person, but no-one's forcing me to buy them.
Office 2007 ribbons are awesome, if only you i dont know, maybe used it once? Maybe they should rename if Office Mojave.
This guy is full of ***** - busdude1989, on 10/01/2008, -29/+58#24 - Sarah Palin
- Myonosken, on 10/02/2008, -0/+29I don't understand what he was complaining about for Patch Tuesday or Service Packs? At least they ***** fix them.
- alexp2ad, on 10/02/2008, -1/+25Didn't anyone else notice this article was *****?
- str3ama, on 10/02/2008, -0/+24blog posts which span multiple pages [for the sole purpose of increasing pageviews], there's something called a scrollbar ..this isn't print medium, we can actually have large amounts of text on one page without having to break articles in chunks as you would in a newspaper.
PCWorld has recently been getting on the Frontpage a bit too often considering they are notorious for breaking up what would normally fit in one paragraph, and spreading it out over 5 pages. - LucasVB, on 10/02/2008, -4/+23#25 - Bill O'Reilly
- pgup, on 10/02/2008, -0/+19Was this article written by Andy Rooney?
- bumcheekcity, on 10/02/2008, -3/+17Wow, some microsoft bashing. How original. What the ***** is wrong with Service Packs and updates. Fixing bugs is good, in all software, end story.
Oh, and #24: Lists on two or more pages where one would be entirely appropriate. - vilago, on 10/02/2008, -4/+15#25 the 2008 election
- Jenadae, on 10/02/2008, -1/+12#24 the term "cloud computing"
- Zippo, on 10/02/2008, -0/+10Wow, lame.
- inactive, on 10/02/2008, -0/+10Buried for failing to entertain and managing to fit what was easily a 1-page article on 2 pages.
- ahhell, on 10/02/2008, -4/+141. PC World
- amauldin71, on 10/02/2008, -1/+11#24 Two page articles just to create more ad space.
- sickanimations, on 10/02/2008, -0/+9All good software, maintained software should have regular updates.
- shakabrah, on 10/02/2008, -0/+8you're just trying to get dugg down, aren't you.
- CharlesSaint, on 10/02/2008, -2/+10#24 Numbered Lists on Digg.
- Pushkin, on 10/02/2008, -0/+82 pages too much?
Click print
However it is not worth it anyway. Buried - random12345, on 11/16/2008, -0/+8"3 (tie). Microsoft Service Packs and Patch Tuesday: Isn't it wonderful that Microsoft is so assiduous about fixing the defects that its official products actually do bring you? "
Really? Let me guess- you created some computer blog without any idea of computers. Scheduled patching is very helpful and a smart practice by Microsoft and other vendors, especially in business applications. Buried right after this item that you "wish would just go away". Learn a LITTLE bit about computers next time before you make a list full of ignorant arrogance.
"4. Genius Bars with smug fanboys instead of geniuses: Attitude? You got a problem with that?"
Look, I hate the smugness of Apple just as much as the next guy who voted for Bush because he seemed like a great guy to have a beer with... but these guys are a little more savvy on tech support and better trained than your average Geek Squad puke.
"4. ATMs: Could I just have my money?"
YEA! SCREW FREE ATM TRANSACTIONS THROUGH YOUR BANK!
"3. Airplane entertainment: I'm already flying your lousy airline!"
Right... because I LOVE flying for 4-5 hours uncomfortable as hell ESPECIALLY without any movie or anything to help keep my mind off the overweight person next to me shoveling down as much food as he can get his hands on.
"3. GPS systems: Who really believes that message telling you not to fiddle with the device while dri...[CRASH!]...ving...?"
Do you know ANYTHING about the American legal system? Is it not obvious those were probably thrown on there because some jackass got in an accident and sued the GPS company because he wasn't warned? - garionw, on 10/02/2008, -5/+12Mr.BabyMan?
- emaf37, on 10/02/2008, -0/+7The oxiclean guy.
- VerticalEvent, on 10/02/2008, -0/+6Hey, what's this aboot Canada, eh?
- insinuate, on 10/02/2008, -1/+7pass me some then sir...
- theragu40, on 10/02/2008, -0/+6Apparently a lot harder than it is to get on the frontpage on digg.
- theragu40, on 10/02/2008, -1/+6I was going to say - it's actually kind of nice to know what day to expect the updates on.
- mnpilot, on 10/02/2008, -1/+624. The name Butch.
25. Parents that name their kids Butch. - inactive, on 10/02/2008, -0/+5# 26 - Pop up windows on page 2...
- cquinnd, on 10/02/2008, -0/+4That will be going away shortly.
Followed by a list of why we should have paid more attention during the 2008 election. - ParanoydAndroid, on 10/02/2008, -0/+4Ten bucks says this guy was a "communications" major, or some other ***** in college.
I prefer my tech lists written by techies, thank you very much. - waynehoggett, on 10/02/2008, -4/+7Most of those things actually made sense.
- MillionsLivio, on 10/02/2008, -2/+5Office 2007 design is good stuff, I love the "ribbons" a hell of a lot more than menu's for 2003, quicker and more efficent.
- andy2125, on 10/02/2008, -0/+3Really, there is no need to state "Isn't it wonderful" for all "7 wonders of Microsoft"
- danjwray, on 10/02/2008, -0/+3Yeah, for those who wish to use the exploits it is. Delaying security updates for up to 27 days just to fit in with the plodding pace of a corporate dinosaur is terrible practice.
- SteveMax, on 10/02/2008, -0/+3I have no intention of visiting California; but I surely don't want California to go away.
- svivian, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2Correction:
#25 - Poorly written pointless lists - flyingmeteor, on 10/02/2008, -0/+21. Myspace
- aquadoguk, on 10/02/2008, -0/+225 was just too many...?
- inactive, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2This list might have been an interesting read had it not had such a craptacular page set up.
- esc27, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2Reminds me of why I quit reading PC World. Every magazine was just a bunch of pointless lists.
- swizzlestick, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2He's just getting started...
http://marooncouch.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/bil ... - Hydraulix, on 10/02/2008, -2/+424. White kids trying to act "street" and wearing extra large clothing that looks ridiculous.
Just be yourself you stupid *****. - marcoionox, on 10/02/2008, -2/+3#24 - Freakin' ads on networkworld.com
- wilkcamaro98, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Ha I was thinking the exact same thing.
- Kamill85, on 10/02/2008, -1/+2So you're OK with Bush? Nice.
- welestgw, on 10/02/2008, -1/+2Canada? Why would I want to leave America just to visit America Jr.?
- tendonut, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1"1. Universal remote controls: Just a couple more days, and I'll have this thing programmed exactly the way I want it."
Have you ever used a Harmony remote? If you can't figure out how to program that, then the equipment you are using is probably WAY too advanced for your simple mind and multiple remotes must confuse you even more. -
