- splinter09, on 07/09/2009, -5/+26The truth is Wordpress is more powerful than most people think!
- Endrian, on 07/10/2009, -2/+20"Wordpress is popular than you think it is."

- mrpunman, on 07/10/2009, -2/+12Dugg for Digg
- Endrian, on 07/10/2009, -0/+10There's only so many ways of saying "This site also uses Wordpress," I guess.
- piieerrrree, on 07/10/2009, -2/+11"Oh wow... I am not surprised."
- hardeep1singh, on 07/10/2009, -0/+7Digg dugg
- mmaine, on 07/09/2009, -6/+12Oh wow, I didn't know wordpress was that popular, but it is a good script, so I am not surprised.
- nepidae, on 07/10/2009, -0/+4the whole thing?
- xCIone, on 07/10/2009, -2/+5Never knew ebay was using WP.nice
- mrpunman, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4Why are you screaming at the end of your sentence?
- mtnboy, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4Nope, found this in the header of Mozilla's Blog
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.7.1" /> - mtnboy, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4Any site will crumble if it hits FP on digg on a light server. There are plugins that are developed for wordpress such as WP Super Cache which help survive the heavy load.
- headzoo, on 07/10/2009, -2/+4It should be noted that those companies have IT departments that can tweak WP to run under heavy traffic. For instance, installing memcached, and the WP memcached plugin is over the heads of 98% of the people using WP.
They're also running WP on high end dedicated servers. As any digger can tell you, a regular install of WP on a shared hosting account will crumble under a light load. - keyo, on 07/10/2009, -1/+3It's great for blogs, top notch, but definitely falls short as a real CMS. Sony for example use Drupal as their real CMS on a lot of their sites.
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1i just love wordpress
- MyTakes, on 07/10/2009, -3/+4Completing sentences is difficult than you would think it is.
- shalinshaun, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1Dugg for Digg and Firefox
- tgilber, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2Well, sure, why not? Those are all pretty standard blogs: structure, function, form... all very standard blog. Why not use Wordpress? It's free, and used (i.e. tested) by tens of thousands of users daily.
- bigplrbear, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2Brands using Tumblr-
Twitter - dralezero, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2There are also some nice Wordpress ecommerce sites with the use of an ecommerce plugin. You wouldn't even know at first.
- mtnboy, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2Yes Indeed it is using Wordpress. The one that surprised me the most was NYTimes has all its blog powered by WP.
- Otto, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1A regular install of *any* software on a shared hosting account will crumble under a light load. Shared hosting servers are not made for any sort of prolonged load.
- magus824, on 07/10/2009, -2/+3One of the greatest things about WordPress is the Plugins. I simply love being able to have rotating scripts, random quotes and SEO capabilities with one click.

- Yarkz, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1I still love flatpress no matter how many people use it.
- badqat, on 07/10/2009, -2/+2I've recently deployed a custom CMS based on Wordpress Mu. I've been very impressed.
- nstanczyk, on 07/15/2009, -0/+0You have proven the power of wordpress. I also use and love wordpress. It is user friendly and provides multiple publishing options.
- Rekutyn, on 07/10/2009, -3/+2Last I checked, Mozilla's sites use MediaWiki.
