- fwc67, on 12/29/2007, -0/+17they've got some crack analysts... plime.com rated at half a billion? who' smoking the ***** there?
- realjames, on 12/29/2007, -0/+15What would you do if your company was worth $10? I'm looking at you voteboat.com.
- waalter, on 12/29/2007, -0/+9I waste enough time checking out Digg submissions! I don't want 114 other sites to do the same at.
- inactive, on 12/29/2007, -0/+8its sad, by being mentioned on this list, Voteboat was destroyed...
...there are now 41 dead links somewhere on the internet and some guy is down ten bucks. - trotskyist, on 12/29/2007, -0/+7erm..
I don't know how to break this to you, but...
http://www.digg.com/tech_news/For_Sale_Used_Social ... - z0mbie2099, on 12/29/2007, -3/+8No way is reddit as popular as digg.
- Frostman3D, on 12/29/2007, -0/+5It's funny, we're digging a list of sites that digg other lists.
- ariez84, on 12/29/2007, -0/+4What the ***** is uvouch and simply and why is it worth that much?
- drjekelmrhyde, on 12/29/2007, -1/+5Where is Fark?
- livejamie, on 12/29/2007, -0/+2But with what service? ;)
- Aroundtheworls, on 12/29/2007, -0/+2I think we just increased the value to at least, like, $15.
- Aroundtheworls, on 12/29/2007, -0/+1Those valuations are heavily skewed by the number of inbound links. I checked my rarely updated blog on dnscoop and was surprised to see a valuation of $13k, mostly due to about 10,000 inbound links to a single blog entry. Unfortunately there's no 'sell here' button.
The value to a buyer is in the potential revenue stream- the concept of eyeballs > profit died when the first Internet bubble crashed. - OKeric, on 05/12/2008, -4/+5If Digg is really worth $215,992,000 it's amazing that they haven't sold out to some big corporation. That takes balls.
- eliburford, on 12/29/2007, -0/+1Overpriced, considering there's a large PHP error when you go there :)
- inactive, on 12/29/2007, -1/+2Purely hypothetical. Anyone can cook the books; you need to see the raw data.
- the_snitch, on 12/29/2007, -0/+1exactly my thoughts, never heard of these clones before
- hehdot, on 12/29/2007, -1/+2I think it's silly to compare social *bookmarking* sites like delicious to social news sites like digg. The difference in intended use is immense.
- donssite, on 01/07/2008, -0/+0Great list, Thanks for the info.
- deluna, on 12/30/2007, -0/+0this is want digg meant to be, isn't it?
- tedprodromou, on 12/31/2007, -0/+0Great list but what are we going to do with all of this information? We're already overloaded with useless information!
- deadlift, on 12/29/2007, -2/+1lol
- nfkiller, on 12/29/2007, -2/+1we got over it
- deadlift, on 12/29/2007, -2/+1lol
- maldevivre, on 12/29/2007, -7/+6Very interesting! I'll bookmark this article for future use. :)
- cranium, on 12/29/2007, -3/+1Ha! Fark didn't make the list. Suck it, Drew!!!
- chetanthaker, on 12/29/2007, -3/+1If del.icio.us is worth half a billion dollars, they should SERIOUSLY rethink their webpage design. Too much of blue !
- livejamie, on 12/29/2007, -3/+1I perfer Diigo for my bookmarking.. it's sad it's not more popular.. www.diigo.com
It's probably because it has such an awful name - Mononuclear, on 12/29/2007, -5/+3did they just make up those site values? buried
- DennisPease, on 12/29/2007, -3/+1Thanks for the list.
- Frostman3D, on 12/29/2007, -4/+2No, it takes greed.
- funkytaco, on 12/29/2007, -3/+1this post appears to be spam. look at all the 'thanks' posts.
http://www.avidbeauty.com should be on the list, IMO. - BamaBlazer, on 12/29/2007, -3/+0I love Propeller.com
Basically all that's left of NETSCAPE now that the browser is gone. - ineedaname, on 12/29/2007, -5/+2Cool list!
- BodomX, on 12/29/2007, -5/+1You see where Digg is in the picture?
The top baby.
