tried to edit this in the above comment but it timed out. - sogodo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1netfirms.com REALLY sucks! Their so called 24/7 support is a fiction, and my 5 days ago email and the next, 2 days ago email were never answered.
Regarding Ruby on Rails hosting, they use to have ANCIENT version of ruby issed in 2004, and the same with rails.
It's IMPOSSIBLE to publish your web site in rails, even if you managed to do this with this ancient version of rails.
