- Magadass, on 10/12/2007, -5/+24When are we gonna get subspace signals? Were still using Radio, damn thats so 19th century!! What the hell, the Or'i are gonna kick our ass!
- Toast1185, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6AKA 10 technologies that you'll hear about for the next 5 years, but won't have any practical application on your day to day life for atleast 10
- MioTheGreat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Especially if Merlin keeps using that Black Knight to guard his stuff.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Obviously, the person who gave magadass' comment a negitive doesn't watch stargate
- vtheh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4@ironcamel
You need to start watching Stargate. =P - ironcamel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5What the hell are you guys talking about?
- orno, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5thank god ...i was half expecting to see AJAX on there considering it was on the front page...
- sonicdevo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I want to know why we didn't confiscate the Ori weapons satellite from the stupid Tegalans... instead we let 'em blow up the Prometheus.
sons of bitches... - gamekid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4--and thus the FCC begins to seek even broader powers to "protect our kids from pornography-serving terrorist radio hackers".
I yearn for the days when "land of the free" didn't get confused with "home of the brave". - nschroedl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1* Ding * You have discovered Nanobiomechanics.
Just thinking of my late night sessions of Civ 4 and Leonard Nimoy's voice announcing my discoveries.
I wonder what upgrades would be available after each of these techs... - konstantinr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4What about the insanely cool touch-screen technology that is being developed? I've seen videos of it and by god!
- dhughes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ironcamel
Think of any Star Trek show five years ago, that's Stargate lmao - colbymulkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's partially true. Having everything centralized would make it easier for someone to get more information for hacking into a single system... but having everything centralized would also allow more security experts to focus on problems as they emerge, and a higher concentration of man power to detect intrusions.
I'm on the fence about this one -- mostly because I know that if someone really wants to, they can already get everything they want anyway, and this would be a lot more convenient. - tonyspencer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Unless somebody can make a few bucks out of it, then it'll be promoted to death!
- andreizilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Another one:
remote teleradiology - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2The cognitive radio thing will be hacked... who wouldn't want to grab all frequencies one could to increase throughput... screw all the other devices around you.
- relinquish, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Damn. All this technology and still no warp drive.
- rjmiz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1...funny. I only saw 6, not 10
- artnez, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Universal Authentication will be a hackers dream. It's the equivalent of taking every bank in the United States and merging it into a single bank in the center of the country. Throw in Fort Knox as well.
- verucasalt, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Pfft, give me a break. Diffusion Tensor Imaging isn't even in my top 20.
- a8s0lut0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0We're workin on that warp drive

But don't worry, this application has already caught the eye of almost alotta physicists as being rediculous.
I wonder what's to become of that new fusion tech that has the scientific community debating pretty hard... - bondo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1But where is Pseudoepilentigral Orthoganalysis in that list?
- shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2front page and 5 comments? thats sad. also most people probably didnt even click the link.
- CrackHappy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Dugg just for the reference to Shibboleth. I am thinking about including it in our online login based system. Would be nice to get in on the ground floor.
- surferbill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I saw that too, but it's just the layout. There are 6 in the main section of the page, two more appear on the far right higher up and the two 'related stories' at the bottom.
- hashkaran, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Good to see "Universal Authentication" in that list.
- duxelles, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Wake me when these have emerged.
- EnricoFermi, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.....
