It's really interesting to watch Ares I-X come together. I've got friends that work down at Kennedy and I really hope they start shuffling guys from Shuttle to Constellation. One of my friends works the slidewire escape system for Shuttle, he tweeted the other day that he's nervous because he just signed off to have the slidewire at Pad-A removed.

It uses all the same facilities, uses mostly the same laborers (no need to train a whole new generation of workers), AND the technology is tried/true/understood so there's no surprises. It was pure BS this was passed up in the first place.
