- RedRummy, on 11/19/2008, -1/+7frequencies and shapes of what?
poured by who?
saturn vibrates?
i'm pretty sure its not flat though. - Navicerts, on 11/19/2008, -1/+6It's all so clear now....
- TipTopTommy, on 11/19/2008, -1/+6the universe is insane! and im not even high!!
- theskillwithin, on 11/19/2008, -2/+7It has been explained,, just not by nasa.... it has to do with frequencies and the shapes they make in sand when poored evenly on a flat vibrating surface.
- KibblesnBitts, on 11/19/2008, -2/+6Global Warming
- divinediva, on 11/19/2008, -1/+5This will give us the direction to travel to the north pole and also the light up auroras over their poles just like our inner sun does here on earth.
- Sillywombat, on 11/19/2008, -1/+4They are charging up the Deathbeam.
- RedRummy, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3what kinda chicks have you been hanging round with ?!
- sonar1, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3i will obey all mighty hypnotoad

- d2002, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3We'll get you next time Sauron!
- JoeRW, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2Here it comes. Saturn is an apostle of prophecy. Evidence is precient. Matter will sublimate shortly.
- EricMiIIer, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2You should probably get that checked out.
- searcade, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2Sure they are... i thought it was uranus when i saw the pic lol

- nowhereelse, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1Thanks. Another observation that supports an alternative to Big Bang cosmology. I wonder how many more it will take to change our paradigm.
- HamstaMan, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1The big round red and blue glowing ones?
- drhex31, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1i am sure glad obama is here to stop use from causing more global warming on other planets, i just hope he is not to late to save saturn
- LuckyEMS, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1LSD trip baby
- sarchosis, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1That's freaky. Images like that are always freaky, knowing that they actually exist out there.
- RedRummy, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1thanks for the narration of your thinking while reading the comments.
it may well be convection, but it involves magnetic fields. - sindex, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1Try reading the description and clicking on a few links for clarification.
Welcome to the Internet. - theskillwithin, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1http://www.tjmitchell.com/stuart/saturnhex.html
- fatlip, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1anyone else here Bowie from that FOTC episode in this comment?
- kraftj, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1I love NASA photos.
- CrimsonFlash, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1Looks like something out of Half Life...
- kocurejd, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1I'm so glad people are finally starting to post the current APODs instead of ones from 2005.
- theskillwithin, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1thats just a 2d experiment to explain why the 3d shaps form.
yes everything vibrates. and satern does have weather.
http://www.tjmitchell.com/stuart/saturnhex.html - Sheff, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1I thought this said, "Unusual aureolas..."
- neurobox, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1the 'ring' isn't from light coming out of a hole as the planet spins, it's from the magnetic lines intersecting the planet at that lattitude, funneling charged particles there.
- theskillwithin, on 11/19/2008, -2/+1nope its just the planets weather
http://www.tjmitchell.com/stuart/saturnhex.html - kudzufire, on 11/19/2008, -1/+0I like the global warming comment because it is amusing and the sand on vibrating surface comment is cool, but I think it's convection caused when a liquid has different temperatures below and above. Causes convection cells.
- natterca, on 11/19/2008, -2/+1Nah, Santa outsourced his workshop there.
- ChileanGoD, on 11/19/2008, -2/+1Looks more like a lava pit.
- ashgtx, on 11/19/2008, -2/+1Cool but mysterious...
