- dwatten, on 03/17/2008, -1/+4dugg for being titled Saturn's ice-spewing moon
- markymark123, on 03/17/2008, -0/+3Its most likely due to local resurfacing mechanisms...Enceladus has evidence of tectonic activity which could be one source of this. Also, quasi-volcanic activity through cryovolcanos is likely to have been a major resurfacing process...rather than magma, these volcanoes erupt with icy-water like liquids. All of these factors lead to renewing of old, cratered surfaces, leaving new crater-free regions as observed.
- inactive, on 03/17/2008, -0/+3Strange, strange, strange... you can see a large chunk of Enceladus that has not been hit by big asteroids. Why is that? Maybe water ocean or thick ice layer was once there to absorb asteroid impacts.
- inactive, on 03/17/2008, -0/+3i love space
- FortyCaliber, on 03/17/2008, -0/+2No it's a moon.

- chesscat, on 03/17/2008, -0/+2Reminds me of a joke: What does Star Trek and toilet paper have in common? They both go around Uranus wiping out klingons.

- yugenro, on 03/17/2008, -0/+2the non-cratered areas were probably once-cratered, but the craters have since been covered by tectonic activity; that is, FLOWing stuff!
- cyranthus, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1suddenly, im craving enchiladas
- Philbert, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1It probably has been hit but the surface moved around enough to cover it up.
- cracker42, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1Dugg for the most promising source of first discovering alien life (albeit not that promising).
