- Shogi, on 11/28/2007, -1/+63Very cool, I'd love to see a time lapse of this view in a hundred or so years to see how far back the fall has recessed.
- indyGuy, on 11/28/2007, -7/+63Compare the size of the line of cars into the States and the line into Canada. Either one country is getting more traffic, or it's a lot more paranoid about who comes in...
- mal1964, on 11/28/2007, -1/+32That picture cost nine million dollars.
- jquipp, on 11/28/2007, -3/+30Very cool, though doesn't look so scary from that perspective.
- Trent0090, on 11/28/2007, -2/+24wait, how old are you? I'm 23 I really doubt I'll make it to 123 myself.
- mackdaddy187, on 11/28/2007, -1/+22It's because the Canadian side has the best view of the falls.
- gregstrander, on 11/28/2007, -2/+23What the hell kind of penis do you have?!?
- chess10, on 11/28/2007, -3/+23I think it's just that all the US people go over to Canada because all the boats for the Falls and such are over there. There isn't that much to do on the US side. So, since it's obviously late in the day, all the tourists are returning to their homeland USA. But yeah, dig me down for being non sensationalist.

- petebernardo, on 09/10/2008, -0/+13I was actually there a couple weeks ago... They have a diagram in the tunnels under the falls that talk about the erosion of it. With the dams they have added I believe they limit the erosion to 1 foot every 10 years (might be 100years) but the diagram shows where it was in the 1700s and 1800s, hundreds of feet eroded before they added the Dams.... Either way I highly recommend seeing it, it is very impressive.
- shortydh76, on 11/28/2007, -0/+13It is a lot cheaper to come and buy in the US now.
- mhockey14221, on 11/28/2007, -0/+10As a Greater Buffalo Niagara Region resident, I cant safely say that it's really because of incompetence of everyone (businesses and government) on the American side. They have not capitalized on things like tourism and gambling like the Canadians have, plus, we have a worse view of the Falls. Theres nothing on the American side because nothing will/can be done in Niagara Falls. It's really sad. I hardly would attribute it to Customs, however, the Canadian officals are many more times easier to get through than the American officals, which is always nice as a 20 year old wanting to drink.
- bradallen18, on 11/28/2007, -3/+13note the traffic on the bridge.
- grapeape25, on 11/28/2007, -1/+11Yeah, we are gonna crash NASAs servers...
- Kronos6948, on 11/28/2007, -0/+10Which hotel was the one that Superman and Lois stayed in Superman 2?
- palehorse864, on 11/28/2007, -3/+12NIAGARA FALLS!?...
...Slowly I turned, step by step, inch by inch... - swiftekho, on 11/28/2007, -1/+10That island to the south of the falls... I call dibs on it... I will call it Canamerica
- OutsideofDreams, on 11/28/2007, -0/+9Heh, 15-20 minutes away on the US side. Howdy neighbor!
- markp93, on 11/28/2007, -1/+9you used to be able to tell the inspection people, "yeah, I went to Toronto to see a concert" or whatever, and they let you on your way, but now they check IDs, (passports soon, too I think), etc.. US border crossing guards are a lot meaner than they used to be.
- gregstrander, on 11/28/2007, -0/+7the left side is the U.S., the right is Canada
- Shogi, on 11/28/2007, -0/+7I plan to freeze myself cryogenically.
- gregstrander, on 11/28/2007, -1/+7Got that right. Customs is a bitch going back into the U.S.
- compgeek, on 11/28/2007, -0/+6very very nice picture I live about 15 minutes away and go look at the falls whenever I'm in Niagara Falls Canada for some reason (I'm Canadian btw)
- Krakn3Dfx, on 11/28/2007, -1/+6Remember when Superman saved that stupid kid who was playing on the barrier?
There were probably like 2 dozen people who died from ***** that wasn't their fault in the amount of time it took to save that one useless ass kid.
Screw Superman. - spect3r, on 11/28/2007, -1/+6http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&tim ...
hooray google maps - RedWolves, on 11/28/2007, -1/+6OK people I learned this the hard way back in elementary school cause I lived there till I went away to college.
It's N-I-A-G-A-R-A there are three a's in NiagAra, not Niagra. - vroom101, on 11/28/2007, -0/+5Niagara Falls at night: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b3 ...

- rz8472, on 11/28/2007, -5/+10Bu Bu Bu But 9/11!
/sarcasm - graemee, on 11/28/2007, -0/+5The one with the busted honeymoon bed.
- MrTea, on 11/28/2007, -2/+7If you look closely, you can see it chargin' its lazer.
- khyberkitsune, on 11/28/2007, -0/+5From space, maybe not. I can still make out cars. Maybe from 30,000 feet.
- Braxo, on 11/28/2007, -0/+4That picture is like 6 years old or so, not that that matters.
Now the Canada side has 2 casinos and a hopping Clifton Hill with various amusements, including a giant overpriced($10 US a ride, or Canadian, doesn't matter anymore) Ferris wheel and an indoor waterpark with huge 4 or 5 story slides.
Even though they are grand to see, spend your vacation time and money elsewhere unless you're a college student. And I hope you don't go there on your Honeymoon.
But College kids can drink at 19, plus by law the strippers can bear it all. - graemee, on 11/28/2007, -2/+6The really good view is from Canada, the ***** view is from the States.
- desmondregan, on 11/28/2007, -0/+4it will happen theres one at the behind the falls museum on the canadian side
- orlyfactor, on 11/28/2007, -0/+4Long live the Internets!
- OneLess, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3Ever been up there in winter? It's absolutely miserable as far as the damp cold goes, but the ice/frost all over absolutely everything is amazing.
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3"passports soon, too I think" Yep, after Jan. 31. =(
- TeacherOfHeroes, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3Since most people make the trip both ways eventually, I think that leaves only the one alternative
- juckman, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3And we're all pirating it!
- cerealman, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3Yes. All the Americans are returning from viewing the falls.
- Aroundtown27, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3The line is going into the states...
- schlegelt1, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3Don't forget the phenomenal strip clubs across the boarder! Sundowners FTW!!!
- bashar129, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3Yeah....Standing by the fence right where the water goes over the edge can be so hypnotizing....I can just stare at if for hours just watching the water go by. Just thinking of someone going over the edge is frightening.
- yourexhalekiss, on 11/28/2007, -1/+4Cool. I can see where I got engaged.
- demodawid, on 11/28/2007, -1/+4SHOOP DA WHOOP
- dougbarrett, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3You think that the zoom level you see on Google Maps/Earth is as far as a satellite can zoom to?
Big brother is watching you my friend. - mrogi, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3That is the best picture of Niagra since Marilyn Monroe was photographed there in 1953.
- BHSPitMonkey, on 11/28/2007, -1/+4"3000 x 3000 pixels of tumbling beauty."
... compressed to hell and left to die a fuzzy mess. - sean9812, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3I was there recently(august) and the city close to it on the Canadian side doesn't look accurate to how I remember it there was a (ferris wheel, etc.)... is this an old picture?
