Of all time? - Cowfrommars, on 10/11/2007, -2/+60The title and picture don't ***** say it all.
- nepawoods, on 10/11/2007, -1/+55"The title and picture say it all!"
Of course the idea of a "description" is to describe the picture. - qwertydvorak, on 10/11/2007, -5/+52THIS is the best photo of all time:
http://www.prophetofdoom.net/pics/Feedback_Muslim_Woman_Defends_Oppression/Muslim_family_photo.jpg - thedarkrabbit, on 10/11/2007, -6/+37He just happened to have a REALLY good travel agent....
- ElliotShoe, on 10/11/2007, -6/+30oooh, I'd like to know the specs on that super space camera
- takitzis, on 10/11/2007, -3/+19...and... travel photo?
I must remember to recheck my reservation for the "space sunbathing" vacations - Alimack, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12Why do Japanese tourists feel the need to take so many photos of their trips?
- ChocoMidget, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12NASA used to use 501 Hasselblads without a casing for the Apollo missions and that camera very much looks like a Hasselblad with a 45 degree reflex viewfinder on it, it just has a white slip cover over it, whether it is digital or not I have no clue : Find out what year it was taken and that will give you a good indication.
- ketha, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Tell my wife I love her very much, she knows is from Space Oddity by David Bowie, although the author links to lyrics from a site that believes it's called 'Ground Control To Major Tom'... FFS
- Sepeteus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I was expecting a moose driving a moped down some volcano and trying not to get burned by a huge lava stream. Can you imagine how disappointed I was when I saw the actual photo? Obviously the title didn't say much.
- DevinOlsen, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9Space suits are ***** bad ass...
- alexforcefive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Yeah, if it had said "a nice but slightly underwhelming space photo" I wouldn't have had to click the link
- DevinOlsen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Touristism?... You mean Tourism?
- Trax91, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4"The title and picture say it all!"
That's the same as "The article says it all!!" - codyallen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4no, the title does not say it all, that's why there are captions- to tell you its a picture of an astronaut
- Slyer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Sounds like the bible to me.
- MikeonTV, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Where was that taken? Thailand?
- audguy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It's on his left arm, look at the patch!
- sabach, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I was wondering why I should even look since the title and picture said it all.
- ncapone, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3The song's actually called Space Oddity.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3And carries just as much weight as just saying "I'm an idiot who can't create any descriptive text here. Just read the original article for the story."
- creep303, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3englushe
- Parmon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4wrong website
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4"The slight, slo-mo wave the astronaut is giving, as if to say, "Tell my wife I love her very much, she knows...""
WTF? - stealthc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Cool picture, but I really wanted to see something unusual. Astronauts take pictures of themselves all the time. They should have LiveJournals.
- Satorikun, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Why? Because they usually only have enough time to snap photos on the tours they take...It isn't until they get home that they actually know what tour they took, though. ;-)
Btw, I live in Japan and my wife is Japanese. - djepik, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I read this as "The greatest and most unusual time travel photo" I'll withhold my digg until that picture comes up!
- essjay, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yeah, it's just like every other holiday picture. You try and take in the beautiful view and then some jackass sticks their head in the way. All my holiday pictures look like that.
- bluepeej, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Hah at least its not fake like those moon landings.
- Ai3d, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Edit time ran out. I want one of those babies: http://www.hasselblad.se/promotions/trade-in they cost around $52,000 and go upto 39 megapixels.
- mindsnare, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Well we don't need to now, some nice fellow submitted it to Digg.
who gives a ***** where it's from, how old it is. - seven90, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Go here instead for a whole #hitload of them.....http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/index.html
- Panthereater, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1nice pic and all but i am sure we've all seen similar before. Can we actually put something worthy on the front page? it seems like this epidemic is only getting worse.
- Figs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1you know the one... with spacesuits and things. yeah, that one... :|
- mptsxtps, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Wish you were here
- smittyfree, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1No, it's from David Bowie- Space Oddity. At least get the song right man.
- audguy, on 10/11/2007, -5/+6It's a Japanese space man!
- zenlunatic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hey isn't that Mark Shuttleworth?
- CorpT, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Or couldn't figure out what a hyperlink is.
- po43292, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"Reflecto-porn" yes it's old.
http://www.snopes.com/photos/risque/kettle.asp - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Because when they smile, they REALLY smile!
- Hayaemsay, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Aren't you familiar with the definition of 'news'?
- PaulOwen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Why do westerners feel the need to watch Japanese people taking pictures?
- teh_toaster, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2He blinked.
- lysdexia, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Usually most *amazing* photographs on here are anything but - this one however is really something special.
- Urusai, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2It was on the mission to space. Outer space.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1At least it's not an AMAZING!!!1!!1 picture.
- DrummerAndrew, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Please describe the photo in the description. A travel photo this is not. This, if anything stupid like you are going for (not witty btw), is a work photo. Granted, I can't take pictures like that at my work, but I can Digg and waste time. These guys can't Digg while they're at work... You at work now, Digger reading this? Thought so.
- chazzbro, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Nope...major strike against this photo: You're not supposed to see the cameraman's reflection.
Go back and try it again! -
