- LucasVB, on 12/28/2008, -0/+11I knew HUDF would be the last one. Good thing the guy also mentioned the Pale Blue Dot. I agree, they're both the most important images ever taken. I think every single person on this planet should learn about them until they actually understand just how much humility they should have in the grand scheme of things in the Universe.
- OnAsideNote, on 12/27/2008, -0/+8Here is a video of Hubble in Deep Field.
Called the Most Important Image taken by man

- Vapor64, on 12/27/2008, -0/+6HUBBLE I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER. i hope a museum eventually gets the hubble so i can touch it.
- Travelpilot, on 12/28/2008, -1/+6Stunning photographs
- Anomaly100, on 12/28/2008, -0/+5One of those pictures actually looks like a fist coming right through the universe. These images are breathtaking! I remember when I was in school and they'd laugh at you at the mere suggestion of more than 9 planets being out there. I wonder what they think when they see this, now.
- Anomaly100, on 12/28/2008, -0/+5It kind of puts things in perspective. I like what you said about humility.
- novenator, on 12/27/2008, -0/+5Thank you 67 billion times for these stunning photos. The macrocosm is so unimaginably large, and these are some of the treasures. Good resolution and size as well.
- endlessmike49, on 12/28/2008, -0/+4Does space totally intrigue and yet terrify anyone else?
- DeskFlyer, on 12/27/2008, -0/+4Light echoes rule.
- novenator, on 12/28/2008, -1/+5leave it to the spaz to try to turn this into a religion argument
- TheMoniker, on 12/28/2008, -1/+5JimmySpaza: Climatologist, aerospace engineer, evolutionary biologist and now, cosmologist?
- novenator, on 12/28/2008, -2/+6maybe you should actually check out the article instead of arbitrarily burying due to the submitter. The photos are spectacular. But if you're not a fan of astronomy, why even bother coming in here and commenting?
- Palscience1, on 12/27/2008, -0/+4Wow what an amazing images. I wonder what in 50 years Hubble will show us
- rlode6762, on 12/27/2008, -0/+4Dugg for the Hubble Ultra Deep Field.
- inactive, on 12/28/2008, -0/+4Here's the new one

- Farik, on 12/28/2008, -0/+4Yet another great boston.com article.
- inactive, on 12/28/2008, -2/+5*Waits for religion argument to begin*
- thegrantman, on 12/27/2008, -0/+3It won't.
It's being decommissioned.

Now for the pictures... - novenator, on 12/27/2008, -1/+3awesome video! worthy of its own submission to Digg to be sure.
- endlessmike49, on 12/28/2008, -0/+2Lolz, there have been worse things.
- jstewdios, on 12/27/2008, -0/+2Very nice.
- sizzzzlerz, on 12/28/2008, -0/+2#6 : Ringworld
What an astonishing collection of images. Hubble is possibly the most amazing science machine ever. - jericho4119, on 12/28/2008, -0/+2Are you saying this submission is not worthy of being on the front page or are you just upset at the submitter?
- Spetz, on 12/28/2008, -0/+2The best site: http://hubblesite.org/gallery/
- jericho4119, on 12/28/2008, -0/+2Fairly certain the Hubble has no plans to return to Earth in something other than a decayed orbit that would burn up many components.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubble_Space_Telescop ...
They had planned to retrieve the telescope with a shuttle mission, but those plans changed after the latest shuttle disaster. - DigitAl56K, on 12/28/2008, -0/+2No, you're the only one. Sorry!
- Murdats, on 12/30/2008, -0/+2actually we have some more amazing ones up there now and going up there soon.
they however have not matched Hubble yet in their contribution to man (though they have contributed a lot) - cddict1, on 12/28/2008, -0/+2Can i take a image from it
- Gogobs, on 12/28/2008, -0/+2Awesome Pictures
- rowlodge, on 12/28/2008, -1/+2twinkle ,twinkle little star...
- Murdats, on 12/30/2008, -0/+1apparently there is a way, and we know most of the mechanics.
your argument from personal incredulity is weak.
that does not make it any less awesome - Victorface, on 12/28/2008, -1/+1Learn too spell.
- zaneyone, on 12/28/2008, -1/+1Okay NASA great work I'll admit it. The photos are mind boggling in their quality and detail. I am impressed. Naturally you did not mention the UFO clearly visable in the picture with the black background. I'm pretty sure that this is all the evidence you need to prove aliens do exist. Either that or it is a special military craft of some kind. See ten o'clock in the black star cluster photo. Hey, why are all those black helicopters flying over my house?
- macmcraeart, on 12/28/2008, -3/+1your mom tried to touch my hubble last night and I was forced to give her a smack.
- macmcraeart, on 12/28/2008, -5/+1stfu you sanctimonious moron. a cloud of space gas is ultimately no more impressive or inherently beautiful than a hand full of sand. your advice and $3.75 will get you a ***** cup of starbucks coffee anywhere in the world.
- macmcraeart, on 12/28/2008, -5/+1goatsed by god.....
- inactive, on 12/28/2008, -6/+2This is what people mean by power users ruining diversity.
I am reminded why I have been at reddit the last year. I guess I will head back. I have seen 15 MrBabyMan submission hit the front page in 2 days.
The system, is broken. - JohnsonGotOwned, on 12/28/2008, -7/+3***** MRBABYSPAM
- johnjohn71, on 12/28/2008, -10/+3BabyMan??? BURIED!
- inactive, on 12/28/2008, -12/+1Incredible photos. The complexity and depth of the universe is staggering and unimaginable. There is simply no way for all that to occur randomly through natural processes alone. No way.
