- matt510, on 07/02/2008, -6/+47Who says "the NASA"? I mean, I know it stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration, so "the" should be in there. But really, who ever says that?
And even so, the title doesn't really make sense (nor is it accurate). It should be "45 photos taken by NASA of Earth." - matt510, on 07/02/2008, -0/+7I don't think he was being xenophobic, think he was just saying that the title and grammar suggest English might not be the submitter's first language.
- whatsrequired, on 07/02/2008, -0/+6Oh Guys. It's like "the Google."
- smitas, on 07/02/2008, -1/+6Good ones.
- inactive, on 07/02/2008, -2/+7it's always happy to see some pictures of the universe!
- igm07, on 07/02/2008, -1/+5Buried for inaccuracy and uber-lameness.
For truly beautiful space photos, check-out the image galleries at space.com (I am in no way affiliated)
http://www.space.com/php/multimedia/imagegallery/i ... - mk3k, on 07/02/2008, -2/+6Basically means submitted by the foreigner.
- SolidBones, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4Apparently Earth is way cooler than all the other stuff NASA's seen.
- lewhich, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3dugg for "You are here" image
- lordthor, on 07/02/2008, -1/+3.............a cryptography code?
- removesstains, on 07/02/2008, -1/+3Those were the best ones?
- Heavypettingzoo, on 07/02/2008, -0/+245 best photos of Earth by Nasa. I was expecting rings of Saturn and Bubble images, but that's ok.
- Mykol225, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Earthrise is by far the best one!
- matt510, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2It isn' their top 45. It is just 45 pics of Earth.
- matt510, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2The flag salute on Apollo 15 is truly one of the best pictures around.
What a great opportunity! - goblindegook, on 07/02/2008, -1/+3Not all of them are photos, and even those are hardly "the best."
- slingr, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Borat would say "the NASA"....
- bubba9999, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2I'm prejudiced towards Apollo-era photos because of their sheer awesomeness.
- phirestyle, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Niiice. The Indian Ocean image makes a great wallpaper. Matched my theme perfectly.
- mfhayes, on 07/02/2008, -2/+4Seriously... I was expecting pictures of THE administration.
What would that be pictures of? A bunch of old guys in a building? - matt510, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Not according to NASA.
- Punisher2K, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Yeah, you know, that whole LIFE thing it has going for it.
- secrity, on 07/02/2008, -2/+3Buried for using Flash
- imtigger2, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2How does crap like this end up on 'our' Front Page anyway...
- fletchsd, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2Uhhh. There is no way these are NASA's top photos. None from any of the Mercury space walks or moon landings?
- ZiggyILM, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1with all the APOD submissions that hit the front page nearly a daily basis and that's what you think passes as the 45 best? ....there were 3 or 4 truly superb ones in there....tops
- evillawngnome, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2so, NASA's Top 45 Photos of Earth?
- Vvolf, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2I'm sorry but Earth at Night while a cool image is still mostly fake even though they say its a composite of over 400 satellite images.
- CatfishAttack, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1looks pretty sweet
http://energystyle.info/frs-energy/ - matt510, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2Wow, chill out. I was just making an observation.
- EyeBaller1, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Hi fiiiiiive!
- britoca, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1the NASA is CRAZEE!
- ljw5021, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2awkward grammar is awkward
- Kollarism, on 07/02/2008, -0/+0these images suck lol
- Inera, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1Mediocre pictures at best.
- schneb, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1Not even the article pins this as "the best". After all, where are some of the great images of those that actually walked on the moon? One of the "best" would be Apollo 15 Astronaut James Irwin saluting the flag on the moon. Speaking of Apollo 15, had the rare privilege of shaking Astronaut Al Worden's hand a few weeks ago. :)
- Mespinal23, on 07/02/2008, -0/+0Wow, the Ozone hole is bigger than I thought.
- darkfus, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1Is that sort of like "the Google"?
- johnnyzero, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1buried for "the NASA" and the fact that these are not the 45 best photos from NASA or of the NASA, they are an Earth Day gallery featuring pictures only of Earth.
- feshmania, on 07/02/2008, -4/+3isn't Earth really just our spaceship through life?
- Redemption289, on 07/02/2008, -4/+1uninspired.
- inactive, on 07/02/2008, -6/+3HORRY COW!
- ZimbuTheMonkey, on 07/02/2008, -7/+4Wow... shut up and just enjoy the pictures. It's not a ***** cryptographic code that only you can decipher, so don't be a smartass.
- Duositex, on 07/02/2008, -6/+1I dugg you up for being a xenophobic idiot and I want everyone to know you are.
- inactive, on 07/02/2008, -7/+1yeah people say only 'NASA' without 'the'. im too.
